Gorgeous views from our ocean view room! Super friendly and helpful staff and very nice accommodations! Location is quiet and very relaxing! Definitely would go back!

Nice secluded place. Condo type units. One private bedroom and daybed with bifold door. Full Kitchen and Two bathrooms. If you want a great ocean view pay for the "delux" ocean view. No workout facility. Beautiful property --casual and great price for area.

Wonderful staff and wonderful stay. The key feature is the use of the shuttle van - Keith was fantastic and took me to Limahuli Gardens, to Hanalei for dinner, and to the farmers market on Saturday morning which meant I didn't have to hunt for parking in any of those locations. The restaurant - Gaia - is now open. The food was really good - I liked the ube manapua and you can't go wrong with Unko's chicken. The service was a little slow, but I think the restaurant had only been open for about a week. Just a note - it was BYOB at the time that I went there.

Great property. Great staff. Off the grid. However, it is on a very windy point on the typically windy North Shore.

Room was clean and comfortable, everyone very friendly. We had a deluxe ocean front room, views were awesome. But you can’t swim in front ocean too rough. Great coffee shop on site and the restaurant food was delicious. Just be aware that it takes a while to get there 2 lane roads with One lane bridges. People are curtious and take turns. Would absolutely return

An absolutly gorgeous place to stay. Right along the beach with stunning sunrises. It was a wonderful stay, the staff there are so very kind and friendly. If you are looking for a true Kauai experience that is not super comercial then this is the place to be. With that being said there were a few issues warranting the 4 stars. First with there being no A/C (which we LOVED) there are sometimes bugs, and we had the unfortunate experience of having some roaches in the kitchen in the mornings. Only very few and quickly taken care of by us. The other issue was the hot tub being out of order; quite a bummer and not disclosed before our stay, water was luke warm at best. Mattresses a bit firm. Housekeeping was asked to come and unfortunately did not come when asked and we were without towels 1 night. Again, beautiful and great location. I would stay here again despite the few issues. The staff were so sweet and their little coffee shop and boutique are great! We loved our stay it was unforgettable!

Our stay was perfect. The staff at HCR made us feel very welcome and at home. The after hours check in was super easy too! The room (D1) we had overlooked the entire courtyard to the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. I would say if you are considering preparing a lot of your own food, bring a sharp knife. We also would suggest replacing the dustpan in D1. The room was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The coffee shop was also a real treat. Wonderful people making wonderful coffee and lots of beautiful artwork to peruse as well. We sampled the pool, hot tub, the coffee house, the secret restaurant that we will never forget. It was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff on the resort were all kind, welcoming and gracious with their time. The beach….. it was beautiful the entire time. Whether it was raining and windy or warm and sunny, everyday the beach delivered. We cannot wait to go back!! Thank you HCR!!

It was a great location and the room was well supplied. We loved everything about it.
