The room was clean and comfortable. Sitting in the lobby and around the swimming pool is very comfortable, you can be in a daze all day long! The surrounding environment is very good. There is a lake next to the hotel and a small hill opposite. Wake up in the morning and listen to the birds singing, by the way, there are many crows here😄

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. I might look into other hotels in the area next time to experience something different.

The hotel is over a hundred years old, since 1844. I felt as though I went through a time portal when I stepped into the dining area. Part of the hotel’s appeal is the history of the hotel. Don’t expect a modern hotel but rather embrace the well-detailed history on display throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown area.

The hotel is on the hill and the car is not good. The balcony is very nice. The facilities are quite new, hot water is enough, but not very stable. There is a kettle in the room. It takes twenty minutes to walk to the city center and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The sausage for breakfast is delicious.

It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together.

This was our second visit to Fox Kandy Hotel, but unfortunately, we had several disappointing experiences this time. Firstly, they did not respond to our emails, which was quite frustrating. When I tried to book directly through their website as a Sri Lankan resident, they quoted Rs. 57,000 for a half-board stay for a couple. However, when I made the reservation through a travel agent using my non-resident husband's details, I was offered a much cheaper rate, which was quite disappointing and felt unfair. Regarding the food, the options were very limited, and the taste did not meet our expectations. It lacked variety and flavor compared to our previous visit. The room we were given initially looked good, but when we went to sleep, we realized that what appeared to be a king-size bed was actually two smaller beds joined together with separate mattresses. This made it quite uncomfortable and disrupted our sleep. Another downside was the driver’s accommodation. Unlike our last visit, where it was included, we were now required to pay separately for both his food and stay, which was an unexpected inconvenience. Overall, this visit fell short of our expectations, and unfortunately, we will not be returning to this hotel. Based on our experience, I cannot honestly recommend it to others.

Fortunately, we cannot confirm the older reviews. Apparently the management has changed. Hot water and wifi are fine. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is great. It is right opposite the famous ”Temple of the Tooth”. From some rooms (unfortunately only a few) you have a direct view! Rooms without a direct view of the temple can use an extra shared balcony. The hotel's restaurant also has a beautiful view of the temple. That's really great. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the city. However, we still preferred to take the tuk tuk. Communication with the manager was very friendly and he helped us several times with problems. Many, many thanks.

First of all, the welcome is outstanding : you won't wait at the desk for the check in, just sit in the comfortable lounge, where a welcome drink and your keys will be brought. The room is huge, nearly 50 sqm ! and a big bathroom, with stair ! Because in Sri Lanka, no room can be done without a stair... We had a very nice buffet breakfast (I thought I could have yoghurt as the hotel of the same chain, but there wasn't). We had also cocktails in the huge lounge so beautifully decorated. The last night the manager resident of the hotel asked me a few questions, and we were offered a glass of wine. We could discuss about what could be improved.. and even about the future project for a huge terrace in order to double the surface of the restaurant. That is a wonderful idea as there's a lot of unoccupied space ! On our departure, we had the pleasure to say goodbye to Sura and his team. This relationship makes our journey in the Oak Ray Regency, awesome, and I am sure we will keep in touch and probably, I will visit them when the terrace project is done !

This hotel is on the top of the mountain. The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.
