Très bel hôtel, faisant plus penser à un studio.
Accueil extra, l'hôtesse est extrêmement gentille.
Petit déjeuné varié (ça n'est pas un buffet, elle vous sert au fur er à mesure)
La Canée est à 20-25min en voiture (le Parkplatz vers ma plage est assez pratique)
Il y a un monastère (3€) à proximité de l'hôtel, un autre (même prix) plus profondément à la Canée, il sont très jolies et bien restaurés
Balos beach est très jolie (surtout le point de vue) mais tout y est payant (1€/personne pour une route ignoble, 3€ pour un parking plus que moyen), la remontée est dure, mais ça vaut le coup !
Il y a aussi la plage de Falasarna où le coucher de soleil y est incroyable.

Arrived very late, early hours of the morning, lady owner waited up for us, showed us to our room and said we can sort all check in at breakfast. Very thoughtful and nice welcome. Room was spacious for a couple and a 5 year old child. Dining and kitchen area in the main area and separate bathroom with shower, and a balcony with table and chairs. Breakfast is nice with a choice of bacon, omelette, toast, lovely cheese and tomato croissant and pastries, boiled eggs, cereal etc. Good location for 10-15 minutes walk to beach, beach mainly pebble so swimming shoes recommended. Smallish pool but perfect for the 3 of us as no-one else used it. 2 restaurants very close with play areas. There were others a further walk away but the road was a bit scary to walk down. A little shop was over the road for essentials. The bus stop was almost literally over the road, and the bus was really easy to use and navigate so it was no problem to travel further afield during the day and evening. Given we have had 30 years of getting lost on buses we were obviously wary. It was so simple you almost can't get lost - famous last words..... Would definitely stop again.

We visited "Golden Rose Suites" in June 2023. The hospitality was excellent and the room was spacious and very clean. Τhe garden and the pool were very nice. Ιt is a good place for quiet holidays and relaxation.

The hostess ( Helena) was extremely helpful , organising a boat trip and a massage. The room was comfortable and hot shower. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of varieties . Located about 2 kms from kolmvari village. Massage centre across the road was reasonable .

First of all it must be said that this small "family" hotel is made special by the careful care and good cuisine (strictly Greek) of the very good and kind Eleni who - practically - does everything herself. Well, perhaps a little less cost-effective management would eliminate some small defects but - overall (also considering the price/quality ratio) - our opinion is decidedly positive. Spacious and clean rooms (daily). In the one with a double room you would need a second air conditioner (or even just one, if positioned better) otherwise you would freeze in one room and have a sauna in the other. Just as at least one air conditioner would be needed in the breakfast room / restaurant. We chose the "half board" formula and - apart from a few surmountable flaws / shortcomings - we were quite satisfied. Considering the size of the island (huge, with "difficult" roads and full of speed cameras/traps) the Golden Rose allows you to reach the most popular destinations in a relatively short time (but always around an hour's drive, even more) . If one day you want to rest and not travel further kilometres, the sea in front (not exciting, but good) can also be reached on foot. There is a spartan and free beach (with drinks) and at least a couple of pleasant taverns. Significant experience and unique places, even if from next year we will certainly choose a smaller and more human-sized island... We repeat - however - that our opinion is decidedly positive and we highly recommend this structure. Hi Eleni and thanks for everything: Califano family from Avellino (Italy).

We arrived late and had a problem with the reservation, but the truth is that Heleni/Eleni gave it a 10, we were able to solve everything and the truth is that we would have stayed more days. Ideal location to get to know the west of the island, the huge room, the beautiful balcony with clothes rack, the divine patio, the varied and good breakfast, but the best, the attention!!! The only "negative" thing I could say is that there were no knives or anything to wash the dishes but the truth is that we didn't even use the kitchen. Thanks for everything!! We definitely recommend and hope to return soon!
