Orchard Hill

My husband and I went here for a two day getaway. We stayed in one of their cottages . The customer service here is excellent. We felt welcome. Upon arrival. The room was nice. Needs a few updates Minor repairs but overall very nice. They offer a happy hour with a lovely charcuterie board every day in the evening at no additional charge and also a morning breakfast, which gave you a large variety of options and a table with a lovely view and excellent service. It’s located very close to town and a walkable distance. We will definitely be staying here again.

We had a great stay at the property. Everyone we dealt with that worked there was amazing and went above and beyond. The room was decent sized and clean. Very easy to get to town - walkable but if you are in the main lodge it does involve a long gravel hill...it looked like some of the cottages were closer to the bottom of the hill.

Comfy, clean and an attentive staff; the semi country setting, and lodge design are conducive to a relaxing vibe for the stay.

This place is just the best! So cozy with such a unique charm. My husband and I have stayed a few times, and we will definitely be coming back! The dining room is all windows and has a really nice view of the pines. Huge wood burning fireplace in the actual lodge. Beautiful breakfast including our stay, of course just quick a walk away from Julian’s Main Street and all the historical charm that has to offer. Perfect getaway.

Our room was spacious, clean and inviting. The fireplace and jacuzzi made it a cozy experience for us. We arrived late and our host was attentive and inviting. Just a short walk up from our cabin we enjoyed an excellent brunch with floor to ceiling panoramic view of the valley. Beautiful, romantic and great ding experience.

We stayed in the Penthouse cottage and it was nothing short of perfect for our crew of two mamas and two toddlers! The view was gorgeous, beds were comfy, and we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary happy hour each evening. Oh! The breakfast each morning was INCREDIBLE- we had a sausage quiche that was unreal and the veggie omelet was a hit with the whole family. The staff was so sweet to us and we can’t wait to return!

The OH main lodge was an engaging refuge, with warm walk-in fireplace, wonderful breakfasts with a view, and comforting afternoon wine & charcuterie. Our cottage was wonderful and cozy with everything we needed for a relaxing and interesting experience exploring the area. The staff, including Karolyn & Matthew, made a difference---and were all so friendly-- and helpful in elevating our stay.

My husband and I have been coming here over 20 years and this visit was our absolute favorite! We have always loved the property as it is so peaceful with an outdoor seating area as well as ponds with a connecting stream which brings such rustic elegance. We enjoy all the hideaway seating areas around the property! The staff is delightful - from Alex greeting us, Matthew introducing us to hard cider to Chef Calvin’s meals and Shannon becoming family! Loved relaxing by the fire too during an unexpected afternoon rain storm. When all the property guests were together on Saturday evening enjoying a delicious meal and listening to live music, conversation was easy and no one was a stranger. Can’t wait to experience our next visit and we are thrilled with the new owners and their amazing team. Can’t wait to see the exciting enhancements, events and memories that will be made!

Had an EXCELLENT experience at Orchard Hill. I knew we were in for a treat when we arrived to check in. Greeted with fresh cookies (gooey warm chocolate chip) and a roaring fire. The lobby is cozy and elegant. The staff is friendly and attentive. Guests’ needs are anticipated down to the smallest detail (think throw blankets, bath salts, and assorted games.) We stayed in the main lodge and the rooms were quiet and cozy. Happy hour was a highlight. The live music was excellent. The vibe was relaxed and every guest looked really happy to be there. Dinner was delicious. Honey cheesecake for dessert made from honeybees onsite. The restaurant seemed popular with locals. Observed multiple tables that seemed to be celebrating special occasions. Breakfast was included and also fabulous. Begin with a “wellness shot” (think ginger, turmeric, citrus) found where cookies were at check in. All in all, I left feeling super relaxed and taken care of. Like I’d just been somewhere really special. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
