My stay in North gate hotel was completely peaceful and nice. The hotel staffs were very friendly and I’m so thankful for the hospitality provided by the entire staffs of the hotel. The foods were delicious too. The hotel manager Sam was a nice person and helpful during my stay there . I highly recommend this place to stay during holidays / visit to Jaffna.

This is one of the best experience I ever had. Best service, best food, amazing staffs, great accommodation. I would come back here and I highly recommend anyone this hotel. Special shout out to Kowshiken, Jeeva, Praveen and Satheesh, the best receptionists in Jaffna!!!!

One of the best places to stay in Jaffna and travel around the city and other tourist attractions. The food was amazing. Authentic Jaffna meals offered here and not over priced. The staff is friendly and helpful. A big Thank you to Thuza and Roshanth for making my daughters Birthday extra special. We hope to visit this lovely hotel on our next visit.

We were there from 7th April to 10th April where had a spent a great holiday with my wife and two kids. We arrived there around 10.30am after 10hrs long drive all the way from GALLE to Jaffna and Hotel was allowed us early check in. Our booking was BB, but the Manager offered us Half board at a discounted price and that was awesome. Food was excellent and we enjoyed with their great hospitality. There is pool at the 1st floor where closer to the restaurant and you can order any foods or drinks to the pool area and enjoy.

The hotel is well positioned in Jaffna. The pool is a little small and has no shade. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Dining experience was OK but the choice was not as extensive as at some other SL hotels. Dining room rather too cool.

My top pick for a stay in Jaffna is undoubtedly North Gate Jaffna. We, a group of six, stayed for just over a week, booking a suite and a deluxe twin room. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and a friendly staff team. Gopinath, the front office manager, made sure our experience was comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel excelled in every aspect, from food and entertainment to accommodations. The restaurant offered a diverse menu, ensuring we always had new dishes to try. Room service was both quick and exceptionally friendly, much to my children’s delight. Kajintharan, who deserves a special mention, kept our room spotless daily and amused the kids with multiple towel animals. Having visited several other hotels and restaurants in Jaffna, I can confidently say none compare to North Gate Jaffna. It's the ideal choice for anyone seeking comfort, great food, and entertainment, complete with a well-maintained, sizable swimming pool.

Amazingly good value hotel on the doorsteps of the train station. Excellent quiet location. The staff were fantastic and catered to our every need. Standout for us was Ramesh who gave us many valuable tips for our month long journey around the island of Sri Lanka Food is excellent

I stayed at North Gate for 6 days and it was a great experience for me and my family. especially the room service was exceptional. we had the same room boy for all days we were there and he made sure our room was spotless every day with ample supplies. Thank you Kajinthiran for taking care of our needs and cleaning our room every day.

Clean hotel and rooms. Lovely restaurant on the second floor with amazing tea. The room service done by Kajinthiran was lovely. Helpful staff - our air conditioning started leaking one night but when we notified reception it was sorted in 10 minutes. Would recommend this hotel.
