Knoydart Guest House

Wonderful accommodation with a beautiful view at breakfast. Very nice hostess who also had good tips for the surroundings. We felt very comfortable. Quite room in a place away from the crowds. Brilliant gallery from the artist with so many stunning paintings.

The location is beautiful, the home modern and the host is so friendly (not to mention the chillest dog Brody who is just a handsome lad). There’s lovely little bar and restaurant a couple minutes up the road where you can grab dinner. Note - this part of the island is really away from it all which makes it wonderful. Just know you’re not staying in a big town

This was not a B & B as advertised , never informed that we couldn’t get breakfast as we had paid for and given a small room with no view.

We had a wonderful time at Knoydart Guest House. Julia was a gracious host and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Julia thought of every little detail to make a stay at Knoydart memorable. She was available to give her recommendations for restaurants, hikes, etc. We enjoyed staying on the south end of Skye. The scenery was stunning and it was less crowded. We took a day trip to Talisker Distillery and then one to Portree. Each trip was less than an hour. Torabhaig Distillery was nearby and well worth a stop. We purchased two prints from Julia which will remind us of our stay in Skye. Her art workshop is very cool and she is a very talented artist...well worth asking her for a peek! Brody, Julia's sweet pup, was so fun and kept us entertained! Two thumbs up for Knoydart!!

Julia is a charming and gracious hostess. She is a talented painter too and her dog Brody complements the friendly atmosphere. The views from Knoydart of the ageless mountains of the mainland, across the wide expanse of water, are simply mesmerising. The room we had was very small though.

Sharing the comfort of Julia’s home, wallowing in the peace of the glorious views and enjoying thoroughly Julia’s warmth and spontaneous vivaciousness made for a very special holiday. Being shown Julia’s studio was an added bonus. Michael and Joan.

Quiet peaceful setting in a very small village atmosphere. Very nice comfortable rooms with a beautiful healthy breakfast and a warm host.

Julia is an excellent host. She serves a lovely breakfast with a gorgeous ocean view. Her home is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable and did i mention the view.

A beautiful location with a friendly welcome and of course stunning views over the Sound to Knoydart. The house is immaculate and close to some good walks and a great bike ride to Tarskavaig over the pass. The breakfast was good and the local pub is just a 5 minute walk away.
