Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain

I always stay cheap, and it doesn't always lead to a great result. This hotel was far cheaper than everything else in town on a Saturday night in peak tourist season, and was a screaming deal. Very clean, quiet, and had all the needed amenities. No complaints from my wife, and she can be rather picky on cleanliness. Owner is a very kind friendly person. Took care of everything. Room has been updated very well. Yes, It looks a little dated outside, but even the parking lot is clean. Right on the main road, easy to find. Short drive to all shopping and attractions in town. I got a king room, and had plenty of space, not cramped at all. Bed is comfy. Lots of TV channels. Micro and fridge. Plenty of outlets to plug everything in. Definitely the best value in town. I'm glad I didn't spend extra money just to get fancy landscaping outside. This is a great stay for the low price.

My honey was called to do some work in the area so I tagged along. Our room was on the first floor on the back of the hotel. I was surprised to see back yards of homes when I looked out the window and how close they were to the hotel. The hotel was quite noisy. I'm not sure if it was because we were on the first floor or because the walls were really thin, but we heard the people in the next room turning on the shower, the cleaning staff vacuuming the room above us, and people slamming room doors. Room service was not provided for short stays, which we were fine with. The room had a microwave and fridge. The pool and gym were open. Staff was friendly and helpful. Internet speed was surprisingly decent. The day we arrived, I checked it out to make sure I could log on since I”m working from home due to the pandemic. When I checked it out, the connection was laggy. The lady at the front desk said service is usually spotty when it rained and that it should be fine the next day since rain wasn't in the forecast. The next day I was able to connect without any issues. Breakfast was available daily. Unfortunately, there was no self-serve due to COVID so you had to walk up to a table and tell staff what you wanted and they would get it for you. Overall, we had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
TownePlace Suites Iron Mountain

This is a beautiful, new hotel in Iron Mountain! I’m a fan of the newer version of Towneplace Suites properties and especially love the suite design and colors used in the textiles and decor. I was impressed with Christopher the front desk employee who was very helpful and considerate. I look forward to staying here again on all of my future work trips through this area. The hotel is conveniently across the street from a good Mexican restaurant Carlos Cantina and less than 5 minutes from an adorable coffee shop with good coffee, Contrast Coffee. Highly recommend.
