"Very grand hotel, dated in the age of build. Very clean bathroom and beds. Amazing, grand entrance way. Very close to sightseeing areas and local sighseening bus stops. Excellent view of the city. "Hotel is very near the Peace Memorial Park and only steps away from Chuden-mae streetcar stop. It is also within walking distance of the highway bus station at Sogo department store. My room faces the streetcar stop and is just of perfect size to me. The bathroom is a tad small but hey, this is Japan after all where space is a premium. I didn’t add on breakfast. The hotel provides tea and coffee at the lobby (from 06:00 to midnight) and also offers complimentary nightwear and free rental of pillow. The furniture is a bit dated but still functional. I have no complaints at all and would highly recommend especially to solo travellers. And the hotel personnel were so kind and helpful and helped guide me on the streetcars to take to Miyajima and they also sold me the day-ticket. I was able to leave my bags at the lobby before and after checking in and out respectively. To be honest, I’d prepared myself for the worst after reading some reviews but I had a great stay. No regrets!"

"The hotel is near a train station which makes travelling convenient! The staff is also very friendly and can communicate in English. The room is spacious, although it doesn’t have much of a view but it’s not big of an issue for us. The reception is on the third floor and there’s a separate elevator to go up to the guest rooms. It was a comfortable stay"

"The room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The decor felt quite new. They even had Braille identification at the elevator, which was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's really close to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes' walk. The area felt safe and quiet. My only minor gripe was that there was a front desk staff member on the first day, but I didn't see them on the subsequent two days. It seems like many hotels in Japan are moving towards self check-in now, which I'm still getting used to as I don't visit often."

"Typical Japanese business hotel. The room is fairly small and compact but clean and tidy (pretty typical of Japan unless you’re planning to spend significant amounts of money, or you’re staying somewhere that’s fairly ‘out of the way’.
Short and easy 5 minute walk to the train station with plenty of Japanese, other Asian, and Western restaurants and fast food locations nearby (the station is full of them).
Hotel staff, although I only dealt with the at check in, were very helpful and reasonable English. Hotel also had plenty of printed copies of maps and local restaurant recommendations printed in multiple languages for people to collect when checking in (great idea, wish more hotels did this!).
Overall this was a short but good stay and I’d happily stay again."

"20 storey hotel. Diagonally from the train station. You have to cross a major road in front of the train station. Good shopping at Mimomoa, which is the shopping mall located on the other end of the train station. As most shops close at 8pm, this supermarket closes much later.Good for last min buys"

"Very satisfied with our stay. Room design is very modern, decent size and clean. Love the lightings in the room as it makes the room very bright unlike some hotel rooms which are dimly lit. Location is good as its right in the city centre and many dining options within walking distance. However if you are travelling by public transport to get to/fro the hotel, probably not that ideal as the metro station is quite a walking distance away. The tram station is also not really near to the hotel. Be prepared to walk. We drove and there are ample parking lots nearby so not an issue. Perhaps they can consider making available a water dispenser for hotel guests to top up their water bottles. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends."

"We chose the hotel for a good price in a convenient area. We were just staying for one night as a trip from an Osaka base and just took things for an overnight stay. It worked perfectly for us to visit Miyajima on arrival in Hiroshima, stay overnight then visit the Peace Park & Museum the following day. The hotel is perfectly positioned and we paid a little extra for a room with a view of the surviving dome building (photo). The room had older furnishings but was clean and comfortable and had been updated with usb ports for charging phones. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good. We paid for breakfast which was very good and had a wide variety of food options- both western style and Japanese style. We would choose to stay there again."

Guest UserWhat a nice hotel! Great location! On our departure day, we left the hotel @ 4:15pm and got on the Nozomi Shinkanzen @ 4:28pm :-)
Nice room size with table and leather bench so you don’t always have to sit on the bed. The public bath is modern and clean.
The best part was the exceptional front desk staff who were so kind and friendly, probably the nicest front desk staff we have experienced in Japan so far.
Special thanks goes out to the only male employee working around 4pm on 22nd of May who carried my bag out from the luggage storage and gifted me a mini origami. Your kindness really touched me! Also, great craftmanship!!!

Khabibov IlnurGreat room. It was clean and cozy. The staff were polite and friendly. Free coffee from a machine is available at the front desk. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located right next door. The room doesn't have wardrobes or much space for large suitcases, but it's perfectly fine for travelers with smaller luggage. The hotel offers two washing machines and two dryers; however, expect queues in the evenings, so doing laundry in the morning or afternoon is recommended. Overall, I have wonderful memories of my stay.

TheeRyanThe accommodation was actually better then I thought. Starting off the staff was really helpful and was able to speak English. The floors are stuck separated by gender and I was on the sixth floor, which had a nice as well they gave great selection of amenities, such as sleep, clothing, toothbrushes, razors, towels, etc. they had a lounge on each floor where you can just chill in the surrounding areas. It’s pretty nice too with a family Mart being right next-door and nakau across the street as well. Pretty close to the attractions in Hiroshima all within walkable distance.

舒扬ShuyangThis was my second stay at The Next Hotel. They have two locations in Hiroshima, and I've stayed at both. I definitely prefer this one over the one closer to the city center. The service here is excellent, and the staff are really friendly. They even provide a BALMUDA pour-over kettle, which shows they really put thought into their amenities. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast because I overslept. Overall, it's a really great hotel.

I really love this hotel! The breakfast spread is fantastic and includes local Hiroshima specialties. They also have a complimentary drink machine available from 2 PM to 11 PM. The room condition was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it! There's a large store nearby called Fuji Grand with a supermarket that's open until 11 PM, which is perfect for grabbing drinks and fruit after a day of sightseeing. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that it's a bit of a walk to the tram stop, and you need to take a bus to Hiroshima Station. However, if you're flexible with your time, you can actually walk to the downtown shopping street in just 10-15 minutes. I truly enjoyed my three-day stay here.

Initially i wanted to book a hotel somewhere in the downtown. But the breakfast and the dinner here caught my eyes. Also the view of the inland islands.
I stayed 2 nights here, I came from Fukuoka where my plane landed. The taxi fare from hiroshima station to the hotel is about 3000-3500 yen.
There is free hotel shuttle bus but i did not take it. Also, there is public bus stopping right outside the hotel (which i found out later).
Though the hotel is old, it is well kept and clean.
The staff were very eager to assist the guests and there is always a smile on the face.
I was given the 17th floor facing east. But the morning sun was too bright. Though it didnt matter much to me.
Another reason i booked this hotel is they have speed boat counter for Miyajima island. I booked one way there as I have the JR pass for return and I have plans after.
One way ticket from hotel to Miyajima is 2400 yen and return is 4500 yen.
There is a convenience store in the hotel.
But I believe they closes at 2200.
Also, there is hot spring in the hotel.
There is a usage charge for it, but i do not recall the price as i did not use.
I went up to the bar on the 1st night. The view was great. Most importantly the price are reasonable too.
For both days, i ate at the chinese restaurant for breakfast.
1st day was Japanese breakfast set.
2nd day was Japanese buffet style breakfast.
They were delicious.
The western and Japanese buffet breakfast at the top floor were very crowded. But they had more selections.
For my return trip to Beppu, I used the concierge (bell desk) to send my big luggage to Fukuoka. The price was okay.
I took the hotel shuttle bus go Hiroshima station. It was a pleasant ride.
Do take note it is first come first serve and there’s a queue.
I will stay here again, should I come back to Hiroshima.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right next to Peace Memorial Park, directly behind the museum, in a quiet and pleasant area. It’s about a 3–5 minute walk from the tram stop and around 5 minutes to the main shopping street. If you get this hotel at a good price and only plan a short stay focused on the Peace Park, the location is definitely a plus.
The room itself, however, was extremely small. Seating was uncomfortable — only a small stool with no back, and in my case the screws were sticking out, making it unsafe and unpleasant to use. You are basically either on the bed or out of the room.
The biggest issue was severe condensation and dampness. The room had extreme moisture problems — water running down the walls and windows, and the bed and floor becoming damp overnight. I woke up with wet feet and later realised why. This is not normal condensation; it was excessive and clearly an ongoing issue. I raised this with the front desk when checking out, but it was brushed off. After contacting Trip.com with photos and videos, the hotel refused responsibility once I had checked out. Trip.com eventually offered partial compensation, but the hotel itself showed no accountability.
Because of this, I would not stay here again. I am not overly picky with hotels, but a damp room that can make guests sick is unacceptable.
Also, I do not recommend the breakfast. You receive a very small bento box with unclear contents and a bottled tea. For the price, you are far better off going to a nearby convenience store like Lawson.
Overall: great location, but poor room conditions and lack of responsibility from the hotel. There are better options in this area.

lkjidmThis was my second stay at a Livemax hotel, and it was excellent once again! This time, I chose the branch located in Funairi-machi.
The location is superb, conveniently close to both Funairi-machi Station (Line 6) and Komachi Station (Line 2). The surrounding area offers plenty of dining options, parks, beautiful river views, and even drugstores.
The service was good, and the facilities were comprehensive. I especially appreciated the large TV, which made for a very comfortable viewing experience.
The only minor drawback was that the duvet had a somewhat strange texture and wasn't as comfortable as I'd hoped. Aside from that, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. It's truly an unbeatable choice for anyone visiting Hiroshima!
