Hotel New Regina

Pleasant enough staff. Lift. Terrible view over rooftops. Bed comfy. Shower good. Open window resulted in aircon noise all night. If we had closed it would have been the same inside so no win whatever we chose. Breakfast included and very good. Very well located right on the square.

This was a really pleasant stay. Excellent location, really comfy bed, good customer service. No parking on site but there is public pay parking (not from Fri 10 til sat late due to market though) on the square opposite. You can use an app called easy park for this. A smallish outfit but professionally done. It is a smart and clean room with gorgeous bathroom (even for budget rooms like us at the back). No real view out of the window, you pay the big money for that but we didn't care. Breakfast was continental with some hot (sausage, bacon, egg, tomato, mushroom), all buffet. A nice variety. Don't forget to go and see the last post at the Menin gate at 8pm daily!

If you're looking for hospitality, charm, or a place where anyone cares about your comfort or convenience, this hotel isn't it. (The photograph on this page is misleading.) The receptionist gave me the chilliest welcome and seemed intent only on charging me for the room as quickly as possible. The clothes closet, which might have come from Ikea and was losing a veneer layer (which meant the door wouldn't close), had only four hangars. The bed was lumpy and hard to sleep in. The hallway, which had two levels, was dangerous because the only lights were motion-sensitive and slow to react; several times I had to creep along in the darkness for fear I might fall. The towels were thin, and only one of them was long enough to fit around my waist--just. The breakfast was decent, and the room was of decent size.

Nice hotel on a top location: just opposite the Lakenhallen and on the Grote Markt. Very friendly people, rooms very clean and well equipped, though a bit small. Excellent breakfast. Price/quality OK Recommended if you want to visit the nice city of Ieper, and very near to the Last Post.

What can I say here the rooms are clean and comfy had a great nights sleep bathroom was lovely with a walk in shower. Breakfast was Realy good. This hotel is smack bang in the centre of Ypres and I would highly recommended it for location the staff are Realy helpful and I’d definately stay again

Good clean property with a lift. Excellent breakfast. On site coffee shop. Parking is an issue as you need to use street parking some distance from the hotel which has a maximum of three hours 9am to 6pm.

The room was very comfortable, regularly cleaned and very comfortable bed. We got to enjoy the beauty of the cathedral and the marketplace from our windows. There were really great restaurants at least a minute away and chocolates galore. Great location. Free parking was about 3 mins drive and 6 mins walk back to hotel.breakfast was excellent and always fresh.

We stayed in the corner room on the second floor with a view of the Cloth Hall. The room was a little small; the bed took up most of the space, but the view and the hotel itself more than made up for it. Clean and comfortable and a terrific breakfast.

Great 1 night stay as a family here. Room was lovely, modern, clean and left shower gels etc for us. Lady on reception and lady doing the dining area/breakfast polite and helpful too. Instructions not very clear on parking so be sure to ring up in advance or email hotel as you only get 30 minutes free outside of the hotel, but there is a large market square opposite you can park at, but I did see a sign upon our exit saying you can’t park there on a specific time, so best to check out. Chocolate shop next door, restaurants and shops in walking distance as soon as you leave the hotel, access to hotel is via ramp and it has a lift and a restaurant. We visited and stayed in Ypres to see the last post which was good, but unfortunately the bridge was under refurbishment however they are doing a new exhibition which I think it due next year. Breakfast was of a good variety, hot and cold, mixed meats, sausage, eggs, beans, cereal, croissants etc. overall a pleasant stay, would recommend and would stay again.
