Hotel Central

After a long train journey with a lot of delays, we chose the Hotel Central in the hope of being able to relax a little and continue our journey the next day. Booking online worked great. The example picture for the booked category showed modern facilities. We happily went to the hotel. The reception was super friendly, but after opening the door to the room we were extremely disappointed. Although the room was significantly larger than the one we had booked, it was terribly old-fashioned. The cleanliness was also not as good as you would expect for 155 euros for one night (mother and child), there were tears in the curtains, dust was flakes on the old heating with wooden paneling. It was warm at night and there was only a loud fan from a cheap brand available. All in all, it was more creepy than pleasant and we found it difficult to rest. Unfortunately, it was not a place where we felt comfortable, we were even more exhausted afterwards than before. A shame, as the hotel itself has a lot of potential. The entrance area is very modern and pleasant, the staff is very friendly, the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and judging by the pictures, the rooms are also fantastic. The stay could have been wonderful and worth the money. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we are annoyed that we paid so much money for such a room.

Das Central Hotel liegt vekehrstechnisch extrem günstig zwischen den Autobahnzubringern. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, klimatisiert, 1A Boxspringbetten, Dusche, TV alles bestens. Das große Plus ist das Restaurant Kastaniengarten, das für nord-ost-oberfränkische Verhältnisse preislich schon über dem Durchschnitt liegt. Eine erfahrenen, kompetente aber zurückhaltende Bedienung und sehr gute Menues mit wöchentlich wechselnder Karte sowie einem Standardangebot lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Das gilt auch für die Weinkarte. Es kein Restaurant, das bei der Qualität der Speisen in Hof mithalten kann.
