Our stay there wasn't long enough. We should have stayed longer. They were so welcoming and made us feel very special. If only we had known about all that the lodge had to offer we would have booked for way more than one night.... Next time we will. ... and we will be back.

BRW Lodge is such a special place to stay. Its location by the river oozes calmness and the accommodation and food is fabulous. However the personal touch from Cynthia and the team really made us feel at home. Topped off with a guided walk in the reserve to see the giraffes. Thank you!

This, I think, our fourth visit to the Blyde River Wilderness Lodge. We enjoy the quiet, relaxed ambience, dinner was lovely and the staff friendly and obliging. We enjoyed meeting Cherie-Lee and, as always Cynthia went the extra mile. The beds are super-comfortable.

Peaceful and wildlife atmosphere...very cosy rooms (we stayed in the roundavells) very good food and nice staff. We had a lovely stay we did panorama route to visit the blyde river canyon sites...it is a bit far from there around 1 hour drive to the first step of the panorama route. I recommend this place if you don't mind being a bit remote

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. The property is beautiful, set right on a river with hippos. There are peacocks that roam around, as well as zebra, ostrich and giraffe. The food was absolutely incredible, and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. They even helped us set up a fire in the fire pit outside our room one night. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone staying in the Blyde River Canyon area.

Cynthia and her team were such lovely hosts. They were invested in ensuring that we had a lovely experience. When I requested a longer stay she ensured I get a better room for my partner and I and assisted us with anything we needed. The breakfast and dinners were amazing and the ambience is just perfect. My only issue is that we couldn’t swim in the rock pool which I was looking forward to.

This is the perfect location to explore the Blyde River Canyon in a serene, wilderness setting which is not o be missed after your game experience. The rooms was perfect, and exotic, and the food was outstanding. Service all around from Cynthia and her staff was simply terrific.

The service was excellent, the staff were ALL there to assist with all our needs regardless of position. They were super friendly and they made our stay memorable. I would go there 1000 times again just for the staff service. The room was comfortable. Personally I didn't like the mosquito nets (which are probably a necessity in that area). I personally like very soft pillows (they had medium). I must admit I did not ask for my preferred pillows so I can't complain about this. The location & amenities? I think this depend on what you are looking for; if you are looking for a secluded place with no network and noise and with a great bird life - This is the perfect place. If you want to go and explore the surrounding areas, there last 9km are gravel road and may require a vehicle a little raised - it need not be a 4x4. I would not recommend it for children who want to run around and play on the jungle gyms etc. the whole day. We loved the peace and tranquility. What I liked best? The staff and location. What I like least? The gravel road - however if you are going to the bush, this is to be expected. As a word of caution, I was bitten or got an allergy while there (my family were all ok), so it may be advisable to chat to your doctor before going to a wilderness like this one.
