Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

We chose the Somerset Chancellor due to it’s location and the ability to comfortably fit our family of five. The apartments are relatively basic but clean and comfortable with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment, we did need help with plane tickets and the team on the desk were great, helping us work through. The convenience store attached to the hotel was very handy!

Overall the service and rooms were pretty good, however there was a little embarrassing moment at check-in when they asked the me to write down on paper the name of my girlfriend when she was already on the booking. They proceeded to tell me that it is okay this time only, but next time I need to book an extra room for my girlfriend. It was really embarrassing and I was actually kind of offended. I won't be paying for an extra room next time just quietly, If I am turned away I will take my business elsewhere.

The 2-bedroom apartment we stayed in was large and a great space for my family of four. The facilities were very nice but the service is excellent. We would like to thank Handsome Van at the front desk along with every person at the front desk for the next level of service they provided. I really was blown away by the great service we received from the doorman to the servers to the drivers to and from the airport. It has been 5 years since I have been back to Vietnam and the service at the hotel was spectacular. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! They really made my stay wonderful. Thank you Intercontinental Team. We will be back!

This hotel was chosen because our original hotel decided to cancel our booking. There is a lot of choice with regards to accommodation in Saigon and choosing is case of ‘pot luck’. After a quick search, a choice was made… On arrival to the airport, we were greeted by the hotel’s transport and driver. He whisked us through the mad traffic of this town. Our transport was organised by Ms Thoai Yen through several emails who made sure that we were sorted for our pickup. A big thank you to her! On arrival at the hotel we received a warm welcome at this hotel. We were allocated our room which was 619. This was a big, bright, airy room which fit the needs for our stay. The bathroom was a good size too with an excellent shower. Food and drink were superb at this hotel! Breakfast was included in the rate and there was an excellent choice to be had. We had two meals here as well which were excellent and very good value for money. Considering the hotel was busy for breakfast, the restaurant was quiet both nights we visited which was a shame as the food is excellent. I accept there is plenty of choices to be had with regards food in Saigon, so it’s personal preference I suppose ….. The facilities at the hotel was good too including a swimming pool on the roof. It’s not the biggest though and the day I went to swim, it was rammed with a group of kids. Still luck of the draw…. Staff were friendly and very helpful here at the hotel. Overall a generally great stay at this hotel! We had an issue on the first night as we were awoken at 00:30 by a constant thumping noise which was frustrating as we had to be up to do a city tour. A phone call about 50 minutes later, as enough was enough, I got hold of reception and 2 minutes later security was knocking on the door. He didn’t speak a lot of English, but whatever he said and did, the problem was solved, so a big thank you to him. What it was still remains a mystery to me.. After doing the city tour, I realised that the hotels location is excellent! You are not far from the ‘Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Post Office’ which is handy. Saigon is a huge city broken up into Districts, and the Muong Thanh is in District 1 which most tours will pick you up from with no hassles at all. You really can’t go wrong staying at this hotel…..

Stayed here for two weeks while I was lecturing nearby. Clean. comfortable room - good value for money. But staff were very helpful and caring. I wasn't feeling well one day and the breakfast manager conjured up a lovely rice porridge for me. The hotel is on a lively street with a variety of restaurant choices. I will be back.

They shall do everything in their power to make the stay as pleasant as possible. For example, Long advised us to go to look at the firework from the roof of Roseland Sweet Hotel and reserved a VIP table, we asked 2 additional heads and were brought in an eye-spot, ... The location of the hotel was close to where i wanna go, so its a plus, although the music and lots of ppl on the street walking by, but its doesnt get to the room, very good sleep… buffet area is kina small, not really comfortable when alot of ppl heading to get buffet at once… food not that hot…. Was recommended Intercon and it did not disappoint. Enjoyable stay for a girls' weekend and birthday trip. The hotel's location is the best- right across the Book Street, Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office and a short walk to a street full of lovely cafes and restaurants and a slightly longer walk to the City Hall and Opera House. We were given a room on the 15th floor with a great view. Beds were very comfortable. Service was friendly and prompt. We will return!

I really enjoyed my week stay at The Bloom. The room was spacious. The best thing about the hotel is the front desk staff was very attentive. They are good at opening doors 24/7. I arrived six hours early before check-in and I was helped a lot with recommendations and was welcomed really well by Phuoc (sorry maybe the spelling is wrong) - he was great! We also really enjoyed Quin who we bothered everyday with advice lol! There was also the tall man and the other man who is usually there were really helpful as well. It is a good place to stay in for those who want to spend their time in calm & peace. Our room has a pretty big balcony on which there are two beach bed chairs and a table and from which we could enjoy a beautiful view of the white church located across the street. And plus, there were not a huge range of food at the breakfast restaurant but they serve you really authentic Vietnamese, home-made like food such as pork noodles (Pho), stir-fried egg rice etc that make your mouth water. I booked one night for working stay. The apartment is nearby the city center and can go through by Dien Bien Phu st / Xo Viet Nghe Tinh st. Not many restaurants nearby, or early closed, but there were also a cf shop and ministop which are easy to walk there. Room was modern, large and convenient. The electricity was really strong. The bathroom was clean and cosy with big shampoo/soap bottles. They have good TV signals and many internet connections but quite unstabled. I came in at night so the balcony was not-in-use with me and when I woke up, the bright from outside is so good to enjoy. Not many staffs, just an elder housekeeper who is very kind, sympathetic and helpful. The security was good so pleasure staying there. Tips: they have a kitchen with full equipped, I don't think you should cook but may be, you can enjoy a cup of hot instant noodles and a cosy sofa when you want to have a break after long time using computer.

Lovely homestay hotel, located within easy walking distance to district one and three, on a side street off the main drag. There is a Family Mart right next door, for any snacks or beverages you may need. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as they have a wonderful staff and the rooms have a funky decor. No elevator, but it's only three stories, so no big deal.

Tell the housekeeper to come change the bed for you. The housekeeper only came to make the bed but didn't change it at all. So I thought that for staying for 7 days, I should change the mattress. The room is cute. There is a microwave, cups, plates, and hot water kettle. There are no spoons. Overall, it's almost good. I like it. During the day, there's a guard watching all the time. You can walk around and find something to eat easily.
