It was a great service by Manager. Actually, we booked wrong, was small. Of course we paid extra fee to change the room but we were very satisfied stayed at Meriton...we will book there again for next our family trip to Sydney. I stayed for one night as I needed to be close to World Square. The hotel is not in World Square, which is a modern building, but across the road. The bare room had badly chipped paint on the dark wall and worn, thin, marked carpet. The air conditioning control is operated by reception, and one air-conditioning unit shared over I was told 10 rooms - you cannot adjust the air conditioning from within the room which was extremely frustrating. A large sign on the shower box asks you to use hairdryers and aerosols inside the bathroom or you may be liable for a $1600 call out fee to the NSW fire department if the fire alarm goes off. The shower leaked over the bathroom floor and the glass shower doors bang loudly which you could also hear from the next room. The staff were very pleasant. Any Accor members looking for a comfortable stay I would recommend Hotel Morris which I called in to see when passing only half a block away and newly opened.

Loved Room 504. Spacious,for an inner-city hotel. Loved the lights,and how the floor light comes on when you step into the bathroom! Beautiful bathroom. Refillable toiletries. Loved the the little seat/table at the foot of the bed and the lovely mantelpiece. Love how no plastic bags are used in the wastepaper baskets. Thank you for the upgrade,bottle of wine for our anniversary and the late check-out (2.00pm!) Most generous! Delicious dinner and breakfast in Bar Morris - what a gorgeous space! Impeccable service from the wait staff - friendly and professional. A perfect staycation!

Having been at a conference over the normal meal hour, and needing to travel by train next morning, the location was ideal. I was able to relax and enjoy later meal. The room was easy to find and toilet/personal products provided of a high quality. It is unfortunate that, as is customary, single customers are required to pay the same as couples. I’m sure that it would be advantageous to have a room occupied by one person than to have it empty.

Hotel building is old but well maintained and room is kept clean. I got a room facing the road and the windows works well enough to keep out the road noise - but I still had to put on my noise-cancelling earbuds to fall asleep. Recommend you to try and ask for room facing inwards.

Customer service is what makes this hotel, very grateful to check in staff who came outside to our car to help a country family stressed by Sydney traffic to help us settle in. We stayed in a family room with separate king bedroom, oodles of room. Buffet breakfast was delicious, and parking across the road for $35, which is reasonable for Sydney!!

Stayed for a quick, one night getaway. Hotel has been recently upgraded to a stylish, comfortable standard. We booked a king room, which was clean, quiet and had everything needed for a short stay. The bed was extremely comfortable with high grade linens. The bathroom, while compact, was renovated to a high standard. The shower pressure was good and the provided toiletries were good quality. The front desk staff are such lovely people, who went out of their way to make sure everything was ok, and tell us about the renovations. They are obviously proud of their establishment. This hotel is right next door to the Capitol Theatre and a short 5 minute walk from Central Station. The Light Rail stop is a 1 minute walk from the front door. We will quite happily stay here again.

I just wanted a good night's sleep in a comfy bed at George 790 and I fell asleep. Hotel George 790 is just two minutes from Sydney Central Station. The hotel is clean and tidy, as are the shared showers and toilets! A/C was on (20C) and I met two lovely tourists - one from Boston and one from Denmark - in Adelaide in a girls' dorm in a 4 bed room Won a bronze medal in the Ryder Surf Life Saving competition! Also, I found a Chinese restaurant serving halal meat right under it!!! Too bad I can't connect to their free wi-fi at night.

MANTRA Sydney Central has great location! Very convenient for dining and shopping. Access to Tram and Train is also great. Enjoy the neighborhood - Chinatown, Paddys Market , Shops and Supermarket, Chemist and Restaurants until 11pm :) The hotel reception and staff are friendly and very accommodating! Will definitely recommend to friends!

Clean hostel with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with large lockers for each occupant and personal plugs and bed side lights in a great position. Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

Learned about YHA from a travel blog. I booked a queen room with an ensuite for myself (traveled solo), so it felt more like a usual hotel stay rather than the more social/fun rooming with other people. THe price was reasonable. The best part about this hostel is its location--literally in the Center of everything. There's a tram and the train station right outside of the hostel. The next thing that was great about it was the hospitality of the staff. I didn't do much at the hostel or places right outside the building (I bet there was so much to do), so there's not much to add; the pool area at the rooftop was under renovation, so that bummed me a little. Overall, it was a great place to stay for two nights. Would return. Would recommend.
