After my previous experience of an out of the way, off the beaten track, hotel I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was not disappointed at all! The hotel grounds and gardens were beautiful and extremely well maintained. The hotel reception was cool and spacious. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts and evening meals were well prepared and tasty. The swimming pool was a complete bonus. After early starts a cool dip in the pool was refreshing and very welcome. Plenty of room around the pool for lazing on a lounger. This was a complete opposite of what I had experienced in The Sundarbans. Without hesitation I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area. Thank you to all the staff.

A women's group of 8 stayed her as part of a photography group tour. Our room was good sized & had a balcony on the back. Not much of a view but you could sit outside if you wanted. There was a hot pot to boil water for tea & a mini frig. The food was mostly buffet style except when there were only a few guests staying there. I can't really speak to the food because I don't like any Indian food but everyone else in my group seemed to like it. They did have the best ice cream. The staff were helpful & friendly. I wouldn't say it was a place I would rush back to but I would definitely stay there again.

A serene resort. Loads of flowers with a well maintained huge garden and a green area for walks. The food variety was enormous and quality of the food was good. The rooms were very spacious and neat. The staff was very cordial and helpful. They helped us with both the elephant safari and keep safaris. A bit of improvement in the breakfast could be done by including more Assamese local food.

I had read a few negative reviews of this resort before I stayed there. Loved the Assamese local food. Tickled our taste palates. Staff does not smile. This was written in one of the reviews. . Total lie. Staff smiles all the time. Run down hotel. I did not find any such traces. Bed was comfortable. Typical jungle like resort. I loved it and will come back.

This is a pretty resort with beautiful garden .The rooms r spacious with a balcony. Rooms r neat n clean. The staff are friendly n courteous.Restaurant serves a variety of dishes.Breakfast is elaborate. But the main drawback is "ROOM HEATER" There is no proper heating system. A tiny heater is placed at one corner of a huge room. We had a bad experience as it was so cold in January. The heater cannot be shifted as there are no plug points. Itwill be fine to stay in summer. Also the bathroom needs renovation as WC is very old. But if these r rectified its a good place.

IORA is a beautiful upscale property just off the main road at Kohora zone of Kaziranga National Park. We stayed there for 3 nights in a Superior category room in CP plan. The journey from Guwahati station to IORA took almost 5 hours and we reached here at late afternoon. The check in was fast and we were taken to the room. The room was huge and super clean with a staired bunk bed for additional person. There was a private balcony attached to it. The only negative is that the washroom didn't have an exhaust fan and hence often became bit smelly and slippery. The bed was sufficient for 3 persons and was super comfy. We took dinner at their multi cuisine restaurant which was almost always full. Make sure you order early and give them at least 30 mins time to prepare food. The food taste was good - but pricey. The "Junglee Mutton" was a praiseworthy item. We also tried some of their Continental menu which was good. There is also an Asameese restaurant which we didn't try. Their breakfast start at 7 am and due to Safari, we always took breakfast at 7 AM sharp. Not all items were available then - the full spread setup takes around 7:30 am to complete. They can even arrange some packed breakfast if informed beforehand - but we haven't tried that option. Overall it was a pleasure stay after whole day hectic travel in the forest. Highly recommended if it fits your budget.

Consider yourself lucky to encounter a smile here . Surprising for a supposedly high end resort of hospitality industry . Right from the front office guys , to the restaurant staff ...nobody smiles here . Infact the restaurant ***ager even sports a constant frown . The place looks run down . Can use some renovation. Food : We had breakfast and dinner here, in the multicusine restaurant . Quality & service were average. We had prepaid for dinners . But they were offering food from a separate menu . Were told some items from the main menu are chargeable , to which we agreed . But to be fair to them , they didn't charge at the end of dinner . Not pleasant to have too ***y conditions when we sit down for dinner , at least in a resort .They also have an Assamese restaurant , that we didn't visit though, as we had tried Assamese thali in the nearby Orchid Village , that was super Open spaces : The best part of this resort is the garden , which also can do with much better quality maintainance . Large trees & generously flowering shrubs . Lawn is dried out and not all maintained well . But then , we were told this is the best of the lot in Kazhiranga , so....

Beautiful property. The rooms were large and comfortable. However, the toilet needs maintenance, especially the bathing area, which was shabby and the shower knob not working. Master switch for the room should have been more conveniently located. The key card holder was smaller than the key card and hence each time one had to call the housekeeping to switch on the lights. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast and the meals were delicious. The reception staff were welcoming and went out of their way to organise our safari trips and taxis. A special mention for Arnav, who was very helpful and made our stay comfortable. Luckily for us, the "Silk and Dye" exhibition was on at the property during the period our stay and so, lots of fun and entertainment during the evenings. Overall, we had a great time at IORA!
