Have stayed here in the past and find it perfect as a base for visiting family/friends in Harlow, getting a little bit tired and in need of a lick of paint but is still a comfortable, value for money hotel.

The hotel was old and tired. The floors creak. The room was not serviced, cleaned or towels changed. The room only had one upright chair for two people. When we asked for an additional chair we were told there were none available. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work. We will not be staying at Premier Inn again.

I booked this room due to attending a wedding close by. I was welcomed into the hotel with a rude member of staff on the day, I had called the hotel the day before and was told I it would not be an issue to book in early for my stay. When I arrived I was charged £10 for early booking in 20 minutes early! Which I was not informed on the phone I would have to do the staff on site did not seem to care about this. I was then given room 6 which is right next to the reception massive mistake taking this room. All night long all you can hear is the main entrance door slamming and what I imagine is the night staff next door slamming things around and the toilet flushing. I was then awoken early hours as it sounded like someone was in my room having a shower! Also every time the toilet was flushed it sounded like it was the toilet going off in my room. The A/C unit also appeared to not work so you could not turn it up or down so the room was far too warm. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a decent night sleep as the beds are not great either, I would book else where in the future.

That’s the hotel, not me. We have stayed at this Premier Inn many times as it is so close to family. Over the last few years it has become really grubby and run down. Your room is only cleaned if you ask for it, and this has led to the rooms generally being scruffy and uncared for. We will be looking for other accommodation in the future.

I stayed there with my family. We enjoyed it.Good service and we also had a very good night sleep. Lovely staff members as well. All in all, we had a nice stay and we will probably stay there again. We had a nice walk and had dinner at the resturant in the front.

Really disappointed! Can’t fault the staff although they were really overstretched. Was no self check in kiosk so we had to call the reception as it was unmanned. Receptionist came and apologised for the wait as she was just putting some curtains on to wash!!! Had to book a time for breakfast which was not ideal but realised it would be at the adjoining Beefeater so understood. We were then directed to our room. The communal hallways were very grubby and looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed for days. In fact we never saw sight of a cleaner at all during our stay! The room was along many corridors with lights that flicked on as you walked through which was a bit creepy. The room was very small, not what we had ever experienced before at Premier Inn. The door had tissue rammed into the peep hole! The walls had chips out of them, as did the dressing table. The headboard and skirting boards were very marked and one of the spare pillow had stains on the protector and the other had the case put on inside out. A lack of attention to detail, again we have not experienced at Premier Inn! We had to wait again at breakfast as there was no one manning the desk. Was then surprised that it took ages to find our booking to be told we had not pre-paid. I assured the staff that we had and eventually she found my booking! We were then surprised that a waitress would take our order and stood over us waiting for us to decide what we wanted! We had no time to deliberate as we had only just sat down, so we felt pressured and so just ordered a full breakfast. We are used to an unlimited buffet as advertised! You would feel embarrassed to call the waitress to order mor. The ‘continental’ breakfast is mid advertised as the only thing we could see that was Continental was the croissant! There was no butter or white sugar and we had to ask for the coffee to be topped up in the machine and for side plates and cutlery at the bread and cereal stations. No one seemed to be checking the availability of these things! We normally take time eating breakfast but was out within 15-20 minutes as it was very disorganised! All in all we would never stay here again and was really really disappointed as we had chosen Premier Inn over the local Travelodge as we have always had a very good experience with all our other stays at a Premier Inn., which is usually our first choice. This one really needs to be revamped and monitored and more staff employed with specific tasks each!

Firstly, I want to say that I can't fault the staff at all, very friendly and helpful. BUT this has to be the worst Premier Inn we have stayed in, in terms of rooms. Rooms very dated, didn't appear to be over clean, our room was tiny, small bathroom unlike any Premier Inn we have stayed in. One of our family members had to move rooms because of the smell. It was a suprise really as we have never experienced this at a Premier Inn before. Saying this, it served its purpose for 1 night, any longer, it wouldn't have been comfortable. The breakfast however, in the Beefeater next door was the usual good standard, very good value and pretty tasty with lovely staff.

Another really nice stay in this hotel. Although it’s just off the main A road the hotel is set back from the road in a nice quiet location by the river. Room was very clean, quiet & comfortable. The staff were super friendly & helpful. We had a very good breakfast (both the continental & cooked breakfast were excellent) & a pretty decent burger & chips supper too all in the Beefeater next door. So handy not to have to drive anywhere for supper. I would recommend booking a table next time as it was very busy but they very kindly accommodated us. Bar staff were really friendly too. A very reasonably priced hotel and will happily return on another occasion.
