Hangzhou Insufficient Mountain Su (Xihu Scenic Area Branch)

The location was amazing and the service was absolutely fantastic! All of the staffs were super nice and super friendly. I am a very impulsive traveller, so when I arrived here, I didn’t even plan out my travel plans. I asked the front desk for recommendations and I didn’t expect him to go above and beyond by telling me each locations and giving me insights. He asked me about my preferences and told me about each location. I also randomly asked him if he knew any photoshoot locations for hanfu photoshoot and he told me this hotel provides a free photoshoot as well! And he proceeded to give me all sorts of food areas when I said I was hungry. The hotel also provides free breakfast and I saw how it was all home cooked and displayed beautifully. The cleaning lady was also super nice an accommodating. I was late and she still sat there waiting for almost an hour (I’m so so so sorry!!) and I felt so bad when I realised! She did an amazing job with our room and she was super amazing and nice and her and the receptionist are truly amazing people. I truly felt like instead of living in a hotel, I felt like we were all living in one big happy home due to how welcoming the staffs are. I will forever miss this place and especially the staffs! This place absolutely the highlight of my China trip! The location is a walking distance to the west lake too!

This is a beautiful, traditionally decorated, yet stylish and modern place with the most gorgeous view. Our host was warm, thoughtful and kind, going out of his way to make us feel comfortable. It’s a lovely place to stay and run with much warmth.

A true hidden gem — highly recommend! This hotel is a real oasis of peace, beautifully maintained and full of charming details. The terrace is stunning with breathtaking views, and the rooms are cozy and well-equipped with everything you need — including a wonderfully comfortable bed and a lovely bathtub to unwind in after a day of exploring. Breakfast is delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the staff, who make you feel genuinely at home from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect too — right in the heart of the touristic area yet surprisingly quiet. The surrounding area is also well worth a visit. We loved every moment of our stay. Highly recommended! ⭐

would absolutely recommend this hotel for travellers looking for a more quiet area! hotel is located on a hill with little foot traffic and we hardly heard any sounds from vehicles etc. lovely breakfast provided each morning, super friendly receptionist (always immediately responsive on WeChat) and the cutest cat. recommend their biggest room which was so spectacular and worth the money spent.
