Jiminy Peak is in a beautiful area with lots of attractions and amenities on and off property, even off ski season. The front desk and maintenance people were all very desirous of being helpful, but in the end the resort failed to meet our expectation because of this incident: Internet service (Wi-Fi) in the unit was inoperable at the start. Maintenance staff tried hard but could not fix it all week. This was very inconvenient and time-consuming for us. Clearly the resort needed to call in an IT person and possibly replace faulty equipment, and we are disappointed that this didn't happen. This has taught us a lesson: When having wi-fi is important, on arrival always first go in and check that it operates properly in the unit, before unloading the luggage etc. into the unit and unpacking! The resort did offer to move us to another unit, but we had spent so much effort to settle in with all our stuff, during the hot weather -- 'sweat equity', literally...
