I booked this hotel for the convenience of going on a safari the next day. The decoration style of the hotel is good, and it looks quite gorgeous, but the inside of the room is relatively ordinary. The facilities are very old, and the moisture can't get out after taking a shower. The whole room It is very, very humid (the kind of water flowing down from the reflection on the wall). When eating in the restaurant, there are stray cats begging for food. People immediately lower their heads. The next day, because the safari departed at 5 o'clock, the breakfast packaged by the hotel was relatively simple (not worth the price, it is recommended not to order breakfast). This Hilton hotel is a relatively satisfactory hotel with good value for money. When I checked in that night, it was raining heavily outside. The moment I arrived at the hotel, I finally felt at ease. This sense of security made me feel good about this place. After checking in at night, I walked back to the room along the corridor, accompanied by the wind and rain. It's dark, even if I'm accompanied by a service staff, I'm still a little scared when I walk into the room~~The style of the room is a bit old, maybe because of the wood tone. The bed is quite comfortable, and there's a balcony door that leads to the garden~~The room is soundproofed The effect is relatively poor. We can hear the sound of water rushing when we take a shower next door~~~~ It rained at night and we didn’t go out. When it gets light in the morning, it’s still very comfortable to see the general environment here~ I don’t know how many flowers are falling on the ground~~~ Because I was in a hurry to go to Yala Zoo and didn’t even have time to look at the hotel and use the hotel facilities~~ We departed from the hotel to Yala National Park at 5:30 the next day and will arrive at Yala National Park in about 40 minutes~~ I didn’t have time to check in at the hotel For breakfast, the hotel's breakfast time is 6:30-10:30. You can't catch up with the meal time before departure and when you come back, so if you want to have breakfast, you must have the hotel prepare breakfast the night before and take it with you~~~ After looking at the hotel restaurant environment, it’s a pity that I don’t have time to enjoy it here~~~ By the way, I originally stayed at the Cinnamon Wild Yala hotel that night, and I wanted to stay there You can go to Safari early there~~~ Due to the weather, I temporarily changed my reservation to this Hilton hotel. Later I went to Wanyala Park to check out that hotel... I am really glad that I changed here~~ It was so wise. ...It's close to Yala National Park~ But all the roads leading to the hotel are mud roads, and you need a jeep to get there~~ And the price/performance ratio there is extremely low......The price/performance ratio is rubbish on the ground~~ If you go to Yala Safari, I really recommend it I would rather drive for half an hour than stay there~~ If you are not pressed for time, I recommend staying here

Everyone said that this hotel is good, but no one said how pristine the road in is. If you only stay for one night and leave Yala, please do not book this hotel, especially during the rainy season, otherwise you will probably have to drive for several hours and face floods under heavy rain. Jinshan car did not dare to wade into the water rashly and had to ask for help from a jeep (additional fee). Another important information is that there are many mosquitoes in the room. People who are afraid of insects must not come here. If you are not afraid of insects, please bring toilet water.

Coming off a 16 day trip that included stays at a 5 star hotel in London, both Aman properties in Sri Lanka. and Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. We have stayed previously at a similar price point in South Africa, the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and Canada. Everything considered, Amanwella rates, for us, as the best that we have stayed anywhere in the world. The important caveat is that you must have your expectations set properly — this is a mature hotel set in a tropical location. Expect heat, insects, spiders, and lizards. Some may even make their way into your room. A quick phone call to housekeeping will solve any such issue immediately, in our experience anyway. Accept this, and the hotel is likely to rate as the destination of a lifetime. For us, the staff are easily the greatest asset of the hotel, starting with the general manager of the resort, Sonam. Every day he checked in on us, usually at breakfast, but sometimes more often than that. He was easy to speak to and we felt he was genuine in every respect. We missed a connection in Dubai and arrived late in the evening (11pm); regardless, he was present at our arrival along with a full contingent of staff for welcoming! Janith, our Guest Assistant, while only 26, rated as leagues above anything else we experienced on this trip or anywhere else. He is, without doubt, a rising star for Aman. Every need was anticipated and every request acted on in a timely fashion. Janith has continued to message us on WhatsApp since our departure, checking in on the rest of trip, and we feel that we made a real friend in Sri Lanka. Dinusha, who we met at the main restaurant, well, his smile is simply contagious, and he came across as down to earth, friendly, and eager to do whatever is necessary to make our stay memorable. His memory for our preferences is impeccable, which is something we did not find elsewhere as often as we would have liked. Ruwon, often a driver for us, treated us with consideration and spoke candidly while behaving professionally at all times. Again, we feel that we made another friend here during this trip! The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and while we spent more time on activities than on the beach, I assure you this is a beach resort first and foremost and that the beach is world class. The vibe is laid back but there is no element of luxury missing. Of everything we did, the lagoon experience was our favourite activity. Highly recommended. Make time also for a private dinner at the beach club. You will not regret it. I see that that past reviewers have expressed concern about the cost of food. The solution for us was to book the Fort & Beach package which included half board, experiences, and transfer between resorts. Perfection, Amanwella. Book it and enjoy!

The beach at the hotel is too wavy to swim and can only bask in the sun. But not far away, there is another public beach more than 100 meters, where you can swim. There are many choices for buffet breakfast and dinner, and the taste is good. Of course, there are occasional mistakes, such as grilled too raw beef shoulder. There are very few things for children to entertain. There is a game room where you can draw, watch TV, play games, etc., but the maintenance is not very good. The service is generally good, ushered in. However, there are more ingredients for the show, and some details need attention. Overall, the price / performance ratio is average, and it should be done.

Wir wurden im Saffron Lake wie Fürsten verwöhnt!! Wunderschönes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Bungalow, feines Essen und überaus nette und zuvorkommende Geschäftsleitung!! Als wir ankamen war die Safary mit Privatem Chauffeur für uns schon gebucht. Vor dem Yala - Park war noch ein Rancher zugestiegen, der uns durch die vielfalt der Tiere begleitete. Uns wurde jeder Wunsch erfüllt!! Der Chef hat für uns sogar das Taxi und die Zugfahrt nach Kandy gebucht. Diese tolle Unterkunft können wir nur empfehlen. Beste Dank für ALLES

Hotel and staff are so very accommodating. We were upgraded to the tree house which was a fun experience, overlooking the river. Room and hotel is very clean. Bed very comfortable. Pool is lovely and towels available poolside. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and less expensive than in town. The hotel helped book us a safari and provided a boxed breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious and lots of effort was made to accommodate by food intolerance. Highly recommend!
