A perfect stay if you love tranquility. Not for those who would stay out late without a car. The last bus from Interlaken West is ~7:15. Worked well with me. Safe for a solo female traveler too.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous old building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Property is clean and has a fantastic old time charm. The staffs and owners were incredibly helpful, extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful.
I wish I could have stayed longer if I did not have booked my second hotel in Interlaken. Hope to come back in winter!

There are all the facilities. You can see the beautiful mountain view from the window. The house is not luxurious, but it is clean and tidy. The pastoral feeling is super nice. The waiters are very nice. There is a parking lot, less than 100 meters from the bus station. The surrounding environment is beautiful and extremely quiet. There is also a viewing room and a viewing balcony, which is beyond expectations

This is a clean an beautiful hotel a little out of the bustle of Interlaken with gorgeous views of the area. It was easy to get to by bus from the main train station. The family owned staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Such a cute place to stay in a beautiful small town. Location is great- scenic yet accessible. I am very glad I stayed here instead of in Interlaken. The bus comes hourly to take you to and from the city when you want, and there is a little grocery store across the street, which is convenient. (Note: The last bus to Habkern is at about 7:00pm. This didn't bother me, though, I came to Switzerland for the mountains, not the nightlife!)
The room was small and simple, but it was clean and had a full bathroom and a hairdryer. I had a beautiful view of the mountains from my window and access to the lovely porch.
Breakfast is free, which is rare for most hotels. It was very good- hard and soft boiled eggs, a variety of breads and pastries, and of course, a spread of meats and cheeses and coffees.
My bed was a little slanted and dated, but otherwise everything was perfect. Great value for the money in very expensive Switzerland. Would definitely stay again!

Service was very good and felt at home during our week stay. All staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The last bus back to the gasthof baren is 7:04pm which was a little early however we made it work. Overall, great moneys worth, very easy to transport and visit all the other beautiful areas in the interlaken region.

there is a bus that takes you and up and down from interlaken to habkern and it’s free when you check into the hotel! the only issue was the last bus back was at about 19:01 and the taxis are expensive. the floors on the second floor are a bit creaky and the bathroom is shared, but other than that, the view is breathtaking, the staff is absolutely amazing and the food is good. everyone spoke english and the room was comfortable. super satisfied overall!
