Conrad West Hotel & Apartment (Poly Zhongda Store, Guangzhou)

Do not book this hotel believing it is clean. I looked for a clean room for my family of 5, nothing fancy. But the apartment is filthy, all the dirt are pushed to the corners. There is not one cup or glass. There is a kitchenette with a (dirty) microwave, but there is not a plate in sight. Bathroom water pressure was inadequate, shower leaks badly , toilet does not flush properly. Electrical sockets is problematic - all devices charged got hot in a short while and we have to stop charging our phones, iPads, battery banks. This is a rip off.

Bad, worse, worst. Never stayed in such a bad hotel before in my life. Not even sure where to start. Whole room smells of cigarettes. Bathroom: smells of sewer and urine. Super dirty and shower hardly has any water. Ceiling and walls: moldy and wallpaper coming off the walls. Floor: dirty stains everywhere, some parts were 'mended' with sticky tape Bed and couch: springs poking out Safety: the apartment opens with a code which is shown on a sticker on the keycard, and the sticker doesn't seem to have been renewed, hence I am sure all previous stayers would know the same code. Furniture and curtains: old and dusty Balcony: dusty and is used as storage for furniture, can't lock Overall, this is not a hotel, and I can tell that the owners are just there to scam people 1) with their high price, 2) the name 'Conrad West' because it is west of the Conrad hotel and 3) the obvious fact that they paid to get fake reviews here at Trip.com. This makes me also doubt the prefessionalism of Trip.com, because how would they allow such a place to be on their website, with a fake review score? No team on the ground to monitor? I ventured away from *********** because Trip.com has more hotels in China, but now I know why.

Best location in Guangzhou. And apartment is spectacular. Loft with with huge living room, bedroom upstairs, great balcony, and good bathroom. Amazing choice. Will definitely book it next time again

Very good location near to the river and near to Pazhou fair complex.

The first thing I noticed when I checked in was how dirty the hotel was. Rooms were full of hair and I had to vacuum myself. Called the front desk they didn’t care. I stayed in your property with two young kids and booked because of you positive reviews which I suspect is made by you own staff as the rooms were appalling. Never will I stay in this b&b again. So buyer beware !!!!
