I stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The hotel boasts expansive grounds, offering ocean views from every corner. Its design is luxurious, the service is impeccable, and they offer a variety of complimentary water activities during the day, with live band performances in the evenings. Plus, it's very close to the Red Roof Chapel.

The whole staff has an amazing hospitality. Everybody is so passionate about the resort and their own job. Once you enter you can immediately see how much they love their job and how proud they are of Lux Grande Gaube! In particular Elena is amazing. She arranged a special gift for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Europe can learn much from Africa in terms of hospitality. That is why we came to Mauritius and Lux Grande Gaube did not disappoint at all. Till next time, we will take the kids with us!

Overall, the place is beautiful and the staff are very professional, but the prices at the restaurants inside the resort are unjustifiably high. Everything is great except for the behavior of the Tunisian employee, Yosra, who promised us a glass-bottom boat ride and some activities but didn't deliver. She also didn't contact us or respond to our calls.

I can't comment on cleanliness, location, or facilities since I haven't been there yet. I requested a cancellation because flying over Dubai was difficult due to the sudden war. (I requested the cancellation about a week before my trip; I looked into alternative tickets, but they typically required two transfers, and even if I took those, using the accommodation would be impossible.) They said it was absolutely impossible because the cancellation request period had passed. I asked for at least a partial refund excluding fees, but they said it was absolutely not allowed. I requested it three times through Trip.com, and the Trip.com customer service representatives tried their best. The response was slow and so frustrating that I even sent an email directly, but they completely ignored me. I wonder if they thought I would just come once and be done with it, because their service was terrible. To think they'd invite me when a war has broken out... lol. I booked believing it was a luxury hotel... 😮💨 My life is more important than accommodation, so I'm not going.
