Hotel Savoy

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times and will be back soon! Hotel near the beach of Grado and not too far from the centre. Excellent swimming pools with warm water, ideal for the summer, among other things, many deckchairs around the pools. The swimming pools also offer mattresses, armrests, boards, tubes... nice and courteous people. Very good dinner menu that changes every day. Nice clean room that offers various services. Breakfast of all types. Great hotel!

The Hotel is located in an ideal position in Grado, outside the historic center (so you can avoid asking for transit permits), but still close to both the center itself and the beaches (10 minutes on foot). Furthermore, it is in an area that is not particularly busy with pedestrians or cars, so there is no noise. It has a small garden and a swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor), among other buildings. It has some beach places available a short distance away and parking spaces in an adjacent car park (not controlled and not covered). Grado is a quiet place, suitable for all ages (but especially families), with predominantly German/Austrian and Italian customers. The beach is beautiful and clean, unfortunately I can't say the same about the sea which, at least when we stayed, was dirty and full of algae (and in fact we bathed in the hotel pool). I gave it a 3 (average) by taking the average of various items. There are things that are very appreciable and others in my opinion that need improvement. 1) the swimming pool (which contains purified salty sea water) is very beautiful, it also has an outdoor hydromassage tub and a bar/lunch service. The hotel provides beach towels and changes them every day. Rating 4. 2) The breakfast is exceptional, both sweet and savory (rating 4), unfortunately not so the dinners. There is no selection of buffet starters (there is a salad selection), the dishes are too "touristy" and designed for German customers (I would have expected even more choice of fish), rating 2 to be improved 3) Prices: a in my opinion excessive: a 50 cc bottle of water costs 4 euros when you can find it at the supermarket for 30 cents. It's okay to earn money, but we're not in the Costa Smeralda. Rating 2, they definitely need to be lowered. 4) Rooms: they are very clean (the staff comes by at least twice a day), but they are a little "dated" (70s style, with carpet and upholstery that you can't really see). They should be modernized (as was done for the bathrooms) and I also suggest getting a TV subscription to the Sky package (as in all 4 star hotels). Rating 3. 5) Staff: the pride of the Hotel. Always kind and helpful, always smiling. Rated 5 but only because this is the best on Tripadvisor, they all deserve 10. Don't miss them!

Das Hotel Savoy ist sehr gut geführt und sicher zur Zeit das 1. Haus in Grado. Eingangsbereich und die renovierten Zimmer sind top, die älteren Zimmer sind noch gut im Schuss, aber leider veraltet. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen ist ganz gut, allerdings entspricht es keinen 5 Sternen. Das Personal und der Service sind top und sehr bemüht um das Wohl der Gäste! Auch das Hallenbad mit Meereswasser ist in der kühleren Jahreszeit angenehm, leider ist der Wellnessbereich mit Sauna und Dampfbad In die Jahre gekommen. Ein Pluspunkt erhält der hoteleigene Parkplatz!

Sono ormai 10 anni che soggiorniamo almeno una settimana all'anno in questo stupendo Hotel. È tutto perfetto,pulizia, cordialità, simpatia.Prnazo e cena con portate gustosissime e ricercate.Colazione be...da provare. Essendo un 5 stelle i costi sono un po' cari,ma una settimana ne vale la pena. La piscina è una favola...

Hotel bellissimo, servizio fantastico e cena molto buona. Camere molto pulite ,grandi e molto luminose.Le piscine bellissime con acqua tiepida colazione abbondante e posizione ottima vicino alle spiagge

Ich war zum Bridge spielen 5 Tage im Hotel Savoy in Grado. Das Hotel ist jeden Stern wert. Mein Einbettzimmer in Richtung Lagune war neu, zweckmäßig und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir hatten Halbpension und die Küche bekommt extra 4 Sterne. Im familiär geführten Hotel bemerkt und spürt man die Liebe zum Gast. Das Frühstück war einem mit 4Sternen S bewerteten Haus würdig. Wenn ich in Grado bin, dann nur in diesem Haus.

Zu den positiven Dingen zuerst: es ist ein sehr gepflegtes Hotel in guter Lager mit freundlichem und sehr bemühtem Personal, das vor allem von seinen Stammgästen lebt. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber und auch das restliche Haus (Pool etc) ist immer gut gepflegt. Seit Jahren (teilweise Jahrzehnten) kommen wir mit der Familie ins Savoy, das hat mittlerweile schon Tradition. Seit mehreren Jahren sind nun auch einige vegetarische Gäste bei unseren Urlauben dabei. Ich denke, dass es in einem 4*S Hotel möglich sein sollte, auch gute vegetarische Varianten beim Abendessen anzubieten. Leider enttäuscht uns das Essen jedoch immer wieder aufs Neue. Die Krönung des schlechten vegetarischen Angebots war heuer ein „Hauptgericht“ welches aus Pommes, Barbecuesauce und 3 Stück gegrillten ungewürzten Paprika bestand. Zu einem anderen Abendessen gab es als Hauptspeise einen Berg voll Humus auf dem Teller, ohne jegliche Beilage oder Brot. Es gibt in der italienischen Küche so viele gute vegetarische Speisen, da braucht es wirklich nicht solche unbeholfenen und geschmacklich schlechten Versuche. Das ein Hotel mit beinahe 5Sternen im Jahr 2022 (in einen kulinarisch so tollen und vielfältigen Land wie Italien) es nicht auf die Reihe bekommt auch gute vegetarische Gerichte anzubieten, enttäuscht uns mittlerweile sehr.
