I arrived late and the manager left the key in the box. He was extremely polite on the phone and asked if I wanted upstairs or down. He gave me a cosy room overlooking the pool. There were people milling around on the stairs or outside their doors but they were fine. Overall I felt this was good value for money. The rooms are slightly different to the photo's and it is obviously an older establishment but it was clean and cosy.

Stayed at the Denison last night. It was a wonderful experience. The decor is Victorian/Federation and the facilities were tasteful, clean and very comfortable. The staff greeted us cordially and made us welcome even thought it was quite late in the day. The room was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended if you want to stay in a place that oozes old world charm from a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences. Our only observation was that the bed, whilst huge and comfortable had a mattress and pillows softer than we are used to. That is not a criticism, just a personal preference. Otherwise, perfect.

I called to let them know of a late arrival. I asked about restaurant hours and they advised they shut at 8 however could make a meal and keep under heat lamp until my arrival. This was very appreciated after a 9 hour drive. The room was clean and tidy. The check in was awesome and Breakfast was amazing. Meals big and also my steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Chefs usually overcook MR and this was on point.

A bit away from the city center but quiet enough and very clean, good for couples, families, anyone who visits Rockhampton in any purpose. There is also a very nice restaurant by the side of the poor with a very nice view. Though a bit high in cost but highly recommended.

Hotel is based in a really great spot, right next door to McDonalds, other restaurants, tavern & not far from Stocklands. Room was tidy, never seen the bathroom sink on the outside of the bathroom before but still functional. Receptionist was very helpful & pleasant. Great off the street parking. Rooms unfortunately are not very sound proof, was awake at 5am due to other people leaving & trucks. Food at the tavern was great, steak cooked perfectly & woodsmoked pizza was good quality. Reasonably priced with lots of options.
