Family-friendly Hotels in Goreme

We had an amazing stay at Kelebek. Everyone at the hotel were so helpful and always greeted us with a smile. There's also a shortcut to get to the town center within 10 minutes. Lastly the hotel has terraces on opposite sides so you won't miss the balloons regardless of the route they take (which depends on the wind direction on the day). The rooms are very special, they kept the original feel of the cave with modern bathroom fixtures. Special shoutout to Honur, Mehmed and Gokhan!

Family of 3, stayed from September 3rd till September 7th, 2022. From the moment of our arrival to Nevesehir airport till the moment of our departure to the next destination we felt welcome. Very family-oriented environment, exceptional hospitality, and smiley faces. We were given a tour of the hotel and amenities, then taken to our rooms. Our room was a cave room called the king suite with terrace (Room number 304). It was beautiful, authentic, clean, and had an AC. Beautiful spacious marble bathroom. Room authentically decorated in Cappadocian-Turkish style. Sheets were changed and towels replaced upon request. Lovely housekeeping team. Front desk very receptive and helpful, all hotel staff went above and beyond to tend to guests to make sure all were having a great experience. Given the nature of it being a family run hotel, it had warm friendly vibes. SETEN RESTAURANT – absolutely to die for! Best restaurant in Cappadocia hands down. Breakfast – best spread ever lots of choices. Served by lovely people. Dinner - It is a definite MUST. Especially the Muhammara, Mutancana, Testi Kebab, and Pumpkin Dessert!!!! I do advise you to book your tours with the hotel but make sure it is with the hotels Kelebek Tour company as we had a frightening experience with a company in city centre. Thank you to the amazing staff at the hotel that made our stay in Cappadocia memorable. We are avid travelers so believe me when I say this hotel is well worth it especially the fact it is THE best view to watch the beautiful hot air balloons fly over Goreme with many caves surrounding you. Special thanks to front desk - Duru, Amir, Sena, Murat - and including Seten Restaurant – Hussain, Utku and Serife – including anyone else I may have forgotten to name, you are all doing an amazing job. Cannot wait to be back!

The welcoming was very good. The staff was friendly and they even helped with the bags because the room was on the bottom and there are a lot of stairs to get to the top… I struggled a bit to get my laundry that was handed in. They were supposed to return it at 5pm the latest, and by 8pm I had to go ask in person by walking all the way to the top, after numerous calls to reception. The guy working in reception when handing in the keys and getting ready for the airport was not friendly. (Also the same guy who said to wait the whole time for the laundry). It’s as if everything was too much trouble for him. He was also supposed to give breakfast to us leaving early morning for the airport, but he never did - although it was arranged and paid for in the reservation deal. Overall a good stay as the room was clean, private, big and very beautiful. Unfortunately it was too hot at night and I had to sleep with the windows and door open because the water heater could not switch off, even though I asked the, (not friendly) receptionist to assist. He only said turn the knob to the left but it didn’t do anything. I would recommend the hotel 100%, just the receptionist taking over from the welcoming receptionists would make me think twice before staying there again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Lucky Cave Hotel. It was so cute and cozy. The staff were so welcoming and super friendly. They helped us book the tours and also organized airport shuttles. Superb communication! Some of the best hotel service I’ve ever received. The rooms were clean and the gardens were heavenly. Was such a relaxing stay. They had a rooftop terrace where we had a great view of the hot air balloons in the morning. Would highly recommend staying here as the hotel was in the heart of all of the cute shops and restaurants and easy to find 👍

Myself and my daughter were very lucky to have experienced This part of Turkey and our stay at Ottoman Cave Suites room 204 could not have been better. The staff did everything they could to help us. Mohamed and Zekeriya are a credit to this hotel as they are so helpful and kind. They were able to make recommendations and arrange a private driver for us who took us everywhere we needed to go. They also booked the hot air balloon for us. Breakfast was amazing every morning with different borek made fresh by Leyla who is an amazing cook. The room we stayed in had a television, safe, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. There were robes and fresh towels. There was a kettle in our room and complimentary teas, coffee sachets that were topped up daily. We loved our stay and felt like sultans. I do understand that some snobby stuck up people will complain about the grit in the bathroom that falls from the natural cave walls. Or they might moan about damp smell in the bathroom…..they need to wake up and realise it is a cave!!!!! Appreciate this beautiful place, the views, the terraces and the people as you won’t find another place like it . The way the whole place is designed is so quirky but beautiful with things like vintage sewing machines and original Ottoman title deeds scattered around. We hope to return here again one day !

Booked a double room in cave suite. We luckily got a room on 4th floor, which was decent. I think any lower than floor 2 and you may hear noise from other guests in morning, so if you do plan to go, book a high room. It's a cave, so not your average luxury hotel room if that's what you're used to. Reception were good, very proactive and understanding/accommodating. Booked activities through the hotel, and it was pretty smooth. Breakfast was okay, the scrambled eggs were not scrambled eggs, they were so overdone. Variety is minimal for breakfast, it's quite repetitive except for 1 or 2 items that tend to swap every day. You can on request have other things made such as fried eggs. Would I go again? No, as a cave hotel is a once in a life time experience. Would I recommend Hera Cave Suites? Yes, it was a pleasant stay, the service was good I was quite happy.

This hotel is beyond what it is advertised. Not only is the hotel located in the best location in the city with amazing views and impeccably clean rooms it also comes with one of the best breakfasts Ive had at a hotel. The views you get tat this hotel are unparalleled. The hotels ambiance is to die for as it feels as if you are staying in a cave with all the amenities you could want. Besides the hotels amenities it is important to note the hotels staff. The hotels staff is one of the most professional and helpful people I have interacted with. Specially SERHAT, words cannot describe how helpful this man was. We arrived at the hotel with 0 plans. This man acted like our travel agent booked our whole trip for us. He was constantly in contact with us when things got canceled due to bad weather and would make adjustments for us to have something else to do that day. Just interacting with and getting the services from Serhat was worth the hotels rates, the rooms were just a plus. I cannot vouch more for this hotel, highly recommend to anyone considering visiting Capaddocia!

The hotel is located close to the southern end of the town, with a view, you can see the town viewing platform and the hot air balloon in the morning, and you can also overlook the Rose Valley. The suite is relatively large, with a big bed in the inside and two small beds in the outside. I started to feel that there was a smell like camphor balls in the room, constantly opening the window to ventilate, and later it was better, and the ventilation of the cave hotel was a problem. Breakfast is OK, there are two things that are more impressive, one is the waiter uncle is very enthusiastic, the other is the fried cheese eggs are delicious. Like the previous review mentioned a strange phenomenon of this hotel, the successive booking price is expensive, and the separate booking price is still cheap every day. Booked airport pick-up and drop-off, hot air balloon taxi, red line travel taxi through the hotel, also helped contact the hot air balloon flight but no space. Overall feeling more convenient and comfortable.

They were really kind and considerate and always took care of our convenience. The room condition was fantastic and the japchae was Awesome!

A good hotel, clean, comfortable and modern, a jacuzzi in the rooms, compared to nearby hotels, is inexpensive. But there are several good reasons to spoil your mood: 1. Upon arrival, the room was not ready - the check-in time indicated on the website at 12.30, it turned out that the check-in was at 14.30 2. The most interesting thing is that breakfast on the terrace overlooking the balloons during their take-off at 5-6 am costs 250 euros, if the balloons did not fly, the money will not be returned, in our case on May 06 there was a hurricane and breakfast was still covered despite the strongest wind and flying products, the greed of the manager here, of course, cannot be explained
