We booked via telephone following finding hotel online. Very friendly and easy booking. Stayed 3 nights while visiting friends and local area. Hotel very nice, nice big room, clean and well equipped (some more drawers would have been useful), food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much and will be back at some point.

Lovely spot for a relaxing night's stay in the Essex countryside. The room in a separate building behind the pub was great - clean, warm and very comfortable with a good shower. The evening meal and breakfast in the pub was delicious and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

A wonderful weekend staying in the coach house at the pheasant, inclusive of breakfast which was absolutely delicious. Beautiful room with a stunning view. The staff were all accommodating and willing to cater to any request, nothing seemed too much or a burden. The owner Diana is a wonderful warm and welcoming lady. We also loved the fact the location is out of the way. A perfect olde English pub with fantastic high quality produce to create a tasty meal. 5* experience for us.

My Husband and I stayed at The Pheasant for 3 nights. We had a lovely stay fabulous suite on the ground floor. All the staff are very welcoming especially Ruben. Diana the owner for a really lovely lady. Thankyou very much we will return soon love Theo and Joanne xx.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The pub is a wonderful warm and welcoming place run by Diana and her excellent team. The accommodation is next to the pub and is modern, clean and very comfortable. We would have no hesitation is returning again. Excellent.

Wow,what a lovely place.We stayed here and had dinner here everything was first class.Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful views very peaceful quite place. Can not wait to return to this lovely place. Christmas here we come

Lovely country pub with beautiful rooms.
Mine looked out to endless countryside so was so relaxing. Cosy and warm room.
I ate in the pub and had a very tasty Thai curry. Great breakfast.
