Poorly maintained and dated facility. Our room had toilet that constantly ran and the hot water tap didn’t work. The restaurant food was very average and half the items on the menu were not available. A couple of the Waitress’s were indifferent at best. Had to ask 3 times (over 30 mins) for my beverage order. We are experienced travellers (retired airline staff) and this hotels ranks in the top worst places we’ve stayed. Shame because the island beaches are spectacular.

Stayed in a cottage on Stocking Island; very peaceful and the beach is beautiful. Poor communication with loss of power one night and both emergency numbers were not answered. Quite concerning. Took a couple days to get our stove working.

We arrived to a very friendly staff, the boat captains were very friendly and helped us get across to our cottage every day and night. Anytime we had a question and called the front desk they were always happy to help. They have a very friendly orange cat around the beach bar that my wife loved. We would love to go back when we can!

We get what we expect. Because we stay 4 times at the Bahamas, we know the problems and so we are not shocked about the prices. The stuff was very, very friendly and helpfully. Our property was clean, quit and had a wonderful view. The beach was in a really good condition, you can walk by your feet to chat an chill. The SUP and other water supply was for free and they don’t take an additional fee. The water taxi is an open Console boat, so you can be wet when the weather will be rougher. All in all we had wonderful but expensive day’s at this lovely and nice location. Thanks to the stuff

Let me start by saying that we stayed in their sister property last year and we loved it, therefore we decided to come back again this year with our children. Since we were traveling with a teenager we were unable to stay at kahari (an adult only hotel) and booked what we thought was the next best thing which was the cottages also in stocking island. I should’ve realized Peace and Plenty was sneaky when they first charged us a deposit for the first night months before our stay, and the final balance 2 weeks before our trip even started Al though we had selected the pay at hotel option through the travel website when we booked our reservation. The hotel blamed it on the travel website and even though I had never experienced anything similar, I accepted it and believed them. Once we arrived at the hotel we were given a voucher at check in for free drinks from their pool bar that in 5 days was never open because they couldn’t find an available bartender. Even though we arrived earlier than the check in time they assured us our room would be available in about 30 minutes. After waiting for 3 hours just about an hour before their standard check- in time we were finally able to get our cottage. I was a bit aggravated that they did not have it ready as they said but we understand earlier check- ins aren’t always available and we were grateful for any convenience they offered. It was to our horror when they finally walked us through the cottage that we realized our cottage had no ac in the living room area or the dining room, or kitchen or the bathrooms. Considering it was about 100 degrees in the Bahamas that day, and the cottages are made completely out of wood and have no insulation, it felt like a sauna and it was unbearable to spend any time in that cottage! The 2 bedrooms did have a mini split but considering the conditions it was impossible to leave the door open or to try to cool the rest of the cottage without sacrificing the little ac provided in the bedrooms. We are a family of 5 with 2 college kids and a teenager which is the reason we decided on this cottage. We had plans to use the kitchen for breakfast and quick meals as well as spend much needed bonding time with our children that were home from college. Due to the bed set up we were going to have our teenager sleep in the sofa bed, because of the extreme heat in the cottage all of this became an impossible! We couldn’t have our youngest sleep in that heat, and we could not spend any time in the living room area or have a meal in the dining room or especially turn the stove on and cook a meal in that heat! We complained immediately, which in turn were advised that no cottage had ac in the living room area. Obviously this was not stated in their website or any hotel booking site or we would have never booked this cottage, especially for a July vacation. After standing our ground and explaining how at $400/ night even in the islands some comforts are required and expected we w

The cottages have no ac in the living room, the dining room, the bathrooms, or the kitchen! Since they are made out of wood and have zero insulation it is impossible to cool with just the ac coming from the bedrooms’ mini splits. Being that mid July and the temperature is 100 degrees, the cottage is hotter than a sauna and unbearable to spend any considerable amount of time inside. My youngest was supposed to sleep in the living room sofa bed as we are a family of 5 and it’s a cottage for 6 (1 king, 1 queen, and sofa bed) but we could not allow him to sleep in that heat! You could barely spend 5 minutes inside the cottage before you were drenched in sweat and out of breath. Considering the cost per night, there are certain expectations of comfort, even though you are in the islands and know that things are different. After much complaining they provide us with another cottage for 2 with a king bed, that at least gave us all a bedroom with air conditioning but separated our family into 2 cottages. Being that 2 of our sons were home from college and we were celebrating our youngest’s birthday we were disappointed by the separation which is why we booked 1cottage originally and not 2. We were refunded the resort fee, for the inconvenience that my youngest had to sleep on a floor mattress in our room since the second cottage was unavailable until the next day. Unable to spend any time together at second cottage as it was too small for a family and the larger cottage was too hot!

We had an amazing trip with family and friends, staying in the cottages on Stocking Island. The property is older / historical, but offers all that you need for a wonderful and relaxing vacation along with the amenities of the adjoining property. The Beach Club was perfect for the beach days where we relaxed and offered plenty of activities for the kids, plus food and drinks steps away from your lounging chair and beach! The staff could not be friendlier and quickly resolved any issues and did do with a smile! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the beautiful Exuma and Sticking Island!

We just returned from Peace and Plenty Cottages, waking up to this little slice of heaven every morning was a dream come true. Staying on a tiny island only accessible by water can have its challenges but with a manager like Navada who is ready and willing to jump in for whatever you need and a boat crew like Kyle and Garvin who make themselves available whether it is in the expected hours or not you would never know you are more than a few steps away from the mainland. With BoneFish singing, dancing and grilling all at the same time at the beach club and Melo there to deliver your every need you can't go wrong. Book now and enjoy this slice of Heaven.

Just returned from our first trip to Exuma where we stayed in the cottages of Peace and Plenty on Stocking Island. Upon booking we were a little concerned that it may not be a good idea to stay off the mainland however, Kyle and Garvin our amazing boat drivers made sure that we had access to the mainland no matter when and where we wanted to be. Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly and accommodating reception crew who got us checked in and on our way to paradise in no time. The Cottages are on the tiny Stocking Island and with every small island in the middle of the Caribbean you expect challenges which of course we had a couple but nothing that overshadowed the pure beauty of the water and the island. That being said we were fortunate to have the resort manager Navada on site whose sole desire is to have every visitor happy and relaxed and he was always quick to respond and went over and above to make sure any of our inconveniences were a distant memory quickly. Also on the island is the Beach Club with everything you need for an amazing day in paradise. With BoneFish singing and dancing and grilling incredible lunches all at the same time and Melo making sure you had every pool toy and umbrella chair and dare I say pretty cocktail need we did not regret having a few days scheduled just to hang out with this crew. Oh and I almost forgot the Conch stand at the Beach Club served up some of the best Conch salad we had on the Island. Definitely a place we will visit again!
