Shinagawa Beach was a delightful escape for our family. The serene environment, coupled with pristine beaches, provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. The staff's hospitality was remarkable; they made sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We particularly loved the variety of activities available, from lounging by the beach to exploring nearby attractions. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, offering a mix of local and international cuisine. Overall, it was a memorable family vacation that we would love to repeat.

My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka, super sea view room, the view is super beautiful! It's very pleasant to walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The swimming pool is also great. There are many chipmunks on the lawn, and the children are so happy. Half board The breakfast and dinner buffets are also very good, and you can see that they are carefully prepared. The staff are very nice, and the elephants folded with towels are so cute 😍

The location is great!!! This was the main selection criterion. The beach at the hotel is “non-swimming”, but with a gorgeous view and located two steps away (to the right) a wonderful turtle beach without waves...). Right in the center of Hikkaduwa, everything is nearby...cafes, shops. The staff is friendly, always ready to help with any requests and always with a smile)))

We recently stayed 11 days at this hotel and it did not disappoint. All of the members of staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The decor of the hotel is lovely, full of character and immaculately clean. We had a ground floor suite which was stunning. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes and all the meals that we had were excellent. After visiting other hotels in the area we definitely felt that we had made the right choice. Fantastic for a relaxing holiday for all of the family! We had an excellent stay at Ceylon Olive for three nights in August 2023. The warm welcome you feel continues throughout your stay as the staff are amazing that they take care of you with every little help. We were treated like a part of the family from the arrival and the owner Kumudu invited us to have meals together with his family, which was a great experience. The food was amazing with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. We felt that the hotel was a hidden gem in Galle, with five-minute Tuk Tuk drive away from Unesco world Heritage site of Dutch Fort and stunning Unawatuna beach. Ceylon olive was one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The pool, outdoor shower, stunning rooms, and peaceful environment were among the best. Thank you so much to Kumudu and everyone at Ceylon Olive for an unforgettable holiday.

I upgraded the room to the store, two beds, and it cost $28. This time I stayed at three hotels that paid for the store, which are one or two hundred higher than the online price, and it is better to pay the online payment. B&B is generally not good, but it is more appropriate to bargain in the off-season. This hotel is the most expensive hotel I have stayed in for the past few days. It costs 1100 RMB a night. It is more expensive than Marriott and the Heritage Hotel. The bathing water in the room is not hot. I don’t know if it is expensive in the ancient city.

This guest house has a long history and is in a convenient position near the Flag Rock Bastion. The people who run it are so kind and I felt very much at home. I appreciated the air conditioning, wi-fi, included drinking water and tea and the washing line on the roof. The breakfast cost extra but was very good.

My review, of course, will not be about this hotel, but about the hotel of this chain, Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. We booked a room at the Thaproban Beach House Hotel, when we came to check in, it turned out that our reservation at this place was missing, and we had a reservation at the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Thanks to the Trip.com team for helping us understand and resolve issues. And the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa turned out to be much better than the Thaproban Beach House. True, it is not on the beach, but the beach is 5-7 minutes away. The hotel is super, all the amenities, large rooms overlooking the ocean. Very tasty breakfasts, 2 swimming pools on site, one with salt water. In general, I highly recommend the hotel. We really liked it. And we never regretted that we moved into it.

I booked a bungalow at Sergeant House for a 2-day stay in July for me and my family during our visit to Sri Lanka. This experience was very different from staying at regular star hotels. Sergeant House is an old mansion that has been renovated to include modern facilities while preserving its original look and feel. The rooms were very spacious. The one I booked had three bedrooms, and the master bedroom featured an outdoor bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the food—it's amazing, and hats off to the chef! I ordered lunch off the menu because I wanted to try authentic Sri Lankan food, and the chef arranged it for us. The taste was so satisfying that I ordered it again for the next day’s lunch. If you want to have a massage, you don’t need to go out as it's available on the property in a very relaxing environment. I did enjoy it and highly recommend giving it a try. Additionally, Sergeant House has a private beach, which, although not beachfront, is easily accessible by crossing the road. We spent a good three hours there, although we didn't swim as the sea was rough. The 24-hour pool was another great feature—we had a night swim, and it was a fantastic experience. Overall, Sergeant House is beautiful and provides a unique and wonderful stay. I will surely be back when I return to Sri Lanka. Thank you for taking care of us during our stay!
