Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville

We stayed here 4 days. This is substandard compared to others in the area. Housecleaning only comes by every FIVE days, so trash piles up if you don’t take it out yourself. Pillows were completely flat, the soap scum in the tub was so thick I could write my name in it, and there was mold in the ceiling in the bathroom. When we checked out we checked under the bed to make sure we hadn’t left anything and found a pair of socks and a solo cup that clearly didn’t belong to us. The fridge was leaky unless it was cranked all the way to freezing max, and finally, found a drop of blood on the boxspring (as part of that checkout look). Blech. All this coupled with no breakfast and honestly not cheap, I will not stay here again. Pros: front desk staff are very nice. There are better options!!!

This is a very clean, safe, and friendly hotel. We were on our way to Florida and needed a place to stay for a night. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they took time to help two elderly ladies with the waffle iron and juice machine, not the typical attitude for hotel desk staff, very refreshing. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and clean. There is a Walgreens right next door in case you need anything and only 5 minutes from I-75 north and south bound. We would recommend.

This hotel has two amazing employees, the first is Shirley who is the breakfast attendant and is the warmest caring person you could possibly want in that position and she cooks an awesome breakfast. The other is Manuel at the front desk who is the most genuine employee I have ever met at a Marriott property. It was truly a pleasure dealing with these two amazing people this past weekend.
Super 8 by Wyndham Gainesville

My two teens and I stayed at the Super 8 for a weekend in March 2022. Our room was updated and clean. We especially appreciated the nice laminate flooring, as there's nothing grosser than old hotel carpet. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. There were no noises or smells in our room. The bathroom has been renovated and sparkled with bright new tile and fixtures. The only suggestion I would make is to switch the water pressures of the sink and the shower. Low pressure in the shower was challenging, whereas I nearly blasted myself through the wall when I turned on the sink. Minor annoyances at most. The kids swam in the pool, which was clean during our stay. I can't comment on the complimentary breakfast because we did not partake. The location is perfect... you are an average of five minutes from dozens of restaurants and stores and right next to I-75. All in all, it was worth the bargain price.
Holiday Inn Gainesville-University Ctr

Hotel front desk and room service are very good, the room bathroom is not big, but the room is quite big, two big beds, clean and tidy, refrigerator, microwave oven. The hotel has a laundry room. Window air conditioner, the sound is really big. The hotel is located in the center of Gancun, the bus is convenient, the key is very close to the community.

Prior to arriving at this beautiful hotel I spoke with the manager Travis, without hesitation he agreed to hold my son’s packages for his dorm until we arrived. The hotel is GORGEOUS. All the staff is friendly and appears to love working there. Travis thank you so much for taking care of my family and all the other gator families at the hotel. Because of your generosity and dedication to us we will be staying here the next 4 years. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a hotel stay like this in years. Kudos Fairfield. Lisa Gold
