Schlosshotel Monrepos

To be honest, the overall cost performance of this hotel is not very strong. If you have a higher budget, I still recommend you to change to other hotels. If you must do business nearby, then this is the only choice.

Unfortunately, we cannot give a good review, but this only applies to the hotel itself. The surroundings are beautiful and invite you to relax. Unfortunately, that doesn't help when a wedding is taking place in the hotel without prior communication. Even when we suggested changing rooms, it didn't help to ensure we got a good night's sleep, because wedding guests with children were also put right next door. There was screaming, laughing, playing catch and raging for half the night. The hotel won't see us again.

The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. They made sure that our wishes and needs were met. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, the beds are large and very comfortable. Bathrobes and slippers are available in the room. What I find a shame is that there is no coffee and tea making facilities in the standard rooms and no minibar. I think this should be standard in a four-star hotel. However, I was immediately provided with a kettle and since I knew this beforehand, I took coffee and tea with me. The sauna and relaxation area is wonderful. Relaxation guaranteed. I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay even more pleasant. We would love to come back.

This was the second time we have been to the Schlosshotel Monrepos for an event. The hotel is more like a conference hotel than a castle, but that shouldn't put you off - the interior is modern and comfortable. Our room had a balcony, normal furnishings and, most importantly, was meticulously clean. Let's talk about the staff - from the receptionist to the service staff in the restaurant, everyone was friendly, courteous and, above all, competent. So there are still good staff in the catering department - as I come from the sector myself, I know what I'm talking about. The food that was served during the event was excellent. The coordination between the kitchen and the program was almost perfect, so there were no delays in the process.

I have been to the Monrepos several times with my wife and will spend the next few years exclusively there. The castle hotel has a top location and great surrounding restaurants. The rooms are bright, modern and very clean. The staff, especially the reception, and the service are outstanding! Always friendly and helpful. The overall package of the Schlosshotel Monrepos gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

we had high hopes for this hotel: but it had nothing to do with a "castle". The staff was very friendly. The room was well furnished - but there was no air conditioning in the room - with over 30 degrees outside and a window facing the sun - that was a no-go. There was a rattling fan, but it only started working when the room card was inserted and the power was flowing. In the adjoining bathroom with shower and "sliding door" there was no extractor fan either, which only worked twice a day (when there was power). We had decided to have the "breakfast buffet" - this cost €21 per day/per person - to be honest, for €10 in a "restaurant in a furniture store" the buffet is more interesting and has more choice. I thought the little party rolls that were served in the morning were cute, we were in Swabia and had expected to get at least pretzels there, but you had to order them the day before and they were only available in "miniature versions". As it was very hot in August, the hotel had an outside terrace from the bar and was also close to a lake, it was surprising that this terrace was closed at 11 p.m. - when it finally got cool, you had to "go inside". This also applied to our room, which was on the ground floor and had a "mini terrace with a chair", and could not be used after 11 p.m. unless you sat there as quietly as a mouse. All in all - the price-performance ratio was not right at all and work should urgently be done on air conditioning for the sun rooms. We also had to "smile" about the incident after we left - we had left a shopping bag in the entrance area - on which our "bill" was. The hotel knew our telephone number and email address, but no one answered. When we then asked, we also had to state what was in the bag and then pay €10 for it to be sent to us. We will not visit this hotel again - the name: "Sound and Smoke".

I have been staying there regularly for 2 years and I always enjoy coming back! It is certainly not a luxury hotel, but the price-performance ratio is unbeatable for the location, the surroundings and the restaurants. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning in the rooms, but otherwise everything is excellent. The staff is SENSATIONAL, EVERYONE!
