Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center

The male staff at the hotel side was super rude, The language on the microwave was in a whole different langue and it didn't work, when I called the front dest to see if they could help they said I had to use the laundry room one because the maintenance guy was off, the laundry room smelt like absolute death it was horrible, the elevator was broke as well and I had a room on the 5th floor so it was very inconvenientcing.

The room was amazing! Super clean and super comfortable. Angel the manager was extremely helpful in making a night very special! The bathrooms were very clean, and had a great view. The service was awesome the hotel crew constantly checking on us to make sure we’re comfortable was awesome. Will be staying here more often

I was invited for vip guest services, so I promply called and set up a reservation. When I called the vip host wasn't in their office so I kept being transfered in a big loop. After calling back several times a nice lady picked up and asked for my name and date of birth. After that I inquired if I needed any conformation and she said no. I said I would be showing up late as my work closes at five pm and I would miss the dinner and show to which the nice lady I believe a stephanie she assures me no problem just come find us we will be wearing wrist bands. So after we closed 12/22/2023 I went packed my bags for this free two night vip stay. There was a dinner and a show starting at five pm. So I arrive at the hotel section go up to the counter and give the gentleman at the counter my ID and name to check-in. He plainly and emotionlessly states that I'm not in the system and VIP services is not picking up that I should just go over there. As I proceed there I noticed the door was red on the lock and zero personal were on site. The players club right next to it was so busy with the reindeer promo it would take 545 min to talk to someone on this side. So I go back to the counter and the guy says he could give me a room but not get me on the list I was already signed up for. As I dishearteningly walk out the door I figured I would play a machine after I went outside to cool off. I came back in saw the room the promotion was happening and show them my card but get no help just a guard trying to act tough like he assumed I was so desperate I would try to get in which is hilariously laughable. The manner on their vip is absolutely disgusting they essentially refused to help by saying sorry you didn't check in at dinner your out of luck.

Tammy is an asset to the hotel, she went above and beyond when we needed help because of an issue with our hotel stay. She was very patient, understanding and customer service orientated! So glad we got her at the front desk, because she turned our hotel stay into a positive experience! The hotel needs to have more employees like her!

We came to this place for a concert. Be warned that this is a dry reservation where there is no booze! That being said, the concert had alcohol so I am not sure how they bypass that law. Either way, the slots were super tight and we lost all of our money almost immediately. The rooms were clean and big. I probably would not stay here again unless another concert comes that I really want to go to, and even then, it might just be better to stay in Pocatello.

We received a gift, tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy at the Bannock Events Center. I was unable to find a room online, so I called the reservation number. The representative I spoke with found us a room and asked if we were AAA members, AARP members or military/veteran. When I told her I was a veteran she indicated that the room would be discounted. All I needed to do was to show my military ID or veteran card to the registration desk. The problem started when we arrived at the hotel desk to check in. I was told by the staff that no discounts were offered on event nights, that the room would be the normal rate. I was a bit upset because I was told over the phone that the military/veteran rate was good 365 days of the year. After articulating this information to the clerk, I was offered a minimal discount (not even close to the original military rate). We opted not to stay and will not be attending any events or booking any rooms in the future. I encourage anyone (military/veteran) booking a room to question the veteran rate on event nights or book elsewhere. Hope this is helpful.

The ****** is nice enough people are rude here a staff is not friendly the buffet keeps weird hours and most of that play smells like cigarette smoke it keeps asking me to write more but I don't want to waste any more time talking about this place
