From arranging tours to taking care of our money exchange needs, they really were top shelf! House Keeping was phenomenal. Our room was immaculate every afternoon when we returned Breakfast- The only thing that rivaled the servers was the beautiful room in which they served. We highly recommend this hotel!!It is centrally located.

New beautiful hotel that is 5 star. Staff was first class and was very guest focused. It’s not a big hotel but the rooms were well appointed and the linens were very nice. There was a chilled bottle of Prosecco in our room when we got there. They have Paulo Airaudo, a Michelin chef in the kitchen. There is a window looking directly into the kitchen so you can watch Chef prepare wonderful dishes! It is located very close to the Medici Castle. We highly recommend this hotel!

Three nights in Florence, 2 nights PORTRAIT, 1 night to experience the four seasons, compare the two hotels, give the following suggestions: 1) Service: Say service first, personal feeling, PORTRAIT service is more cordial and enthusiastic. There is WELCOME DRINK at the door, with beer and red wine and other drinks. There is a doorman from Russia who is very enthusiastic and can really describe himself as a guest. CHECK IN is not the front desk of the hotel. It is a large living room. When guests sit on the sofa, there will be service personnel to go through the formalities. If you leave, you will also ask if you want to bring bottled water. Four seasons, no one can say bad, but it is very standard and professional, but there is no temperature. PORTRAIT won. 2) Location: The four seasons are far from the attractions, but not far away. The distance cannot be said to be a weak item. The hotel has a garden, but it is not very big, but it is okay (refer to the size of Shanghai Garden Hotel). Moreover, mainly, the garden layout is not very special. PORTRAIT is on the edge of the old bridge, the most central location, everything is convenient. Housed in a beautiful old building in a very central location. The character of the building has been well maintained in the public areas and our suite had lovely contemporary decor which mixed perfectly with the 18th century painted ceiling. Within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Great value for money. But best of all has to be the amazing staff - extremely friendly, patient and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

Casa Thiele is a delightful boutique hotel right in the heart of Florence. We arrived in the city by tram from the airport to Unita and from there it was a 15 minute walk to the hotel. The entrance isn’t obvious at first as it doesn’t have a sign. Look for the green door and you’ll see the hotel announced on the buzzer panel. The hotel itself is at the top of the building, up several flights of old stone steps. Note that there’s no lift. We had a lovely welcome from Daniel who explained how things work and then showed us to our room. This is a small hotel with only 5 (I think) rooms. Our room was at the front of the building and was a very good size with a large double bed. The bathroom is also a good size. It can get pretty noisy in the street below though the double-glazing cuts out much of the noise. Breakfast is ordered at the start of your stay and unless you say otherwise, you’ll receive the same order each morning. Croissants, brioche, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, muesli, juice, coffee and more. The lovely Antonio looks after guests during breakfast with patience and good grace. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a few minutes from Duomo in one direction and the Uffizi in the other. This comes at a price, however, because it is incredibly busy in the whole area around the hotel. It’s not cheap accommodation but you’re paying for the uniqueness, the personal service and the location. We loved our stay at Casa Thiele and should we find ourselves in Florence again, we’d definitely go back there.

The hotel is very new, really close to the Uffizi Gallery and close to the Santa Maria del Fiore. The neighborhood is great. Right by the river. The superior room has a balcony for the first night, and the balcony is very large. Downstairs is the downtown area. The flow of people shuttles back and forth. The second night was classic without a balcony, the bathroom was slightly smaller, and there was no street view, but the room was still great. It is more recommended to add more money to choose a balcony. The room is not small, the bed is quite big, and the equipment is very new. The bathroom is also relatively large. In terms of service, the receptionists are young people with good English and friendly attitude. The only downside is that the breakfast is not good, not as good as the two-star breakfast in Milan.
