The location is good as it is about a 10 minute walk from the main station.
The problem is that there is no staff available all the time.
Because we had not informed them of our arrival time at the hotel in advance, we were not able to enter the hotel immediately after arriving.
You will be given three keys: the front door of the hotel building, the entrance/exit to the hotel, and a private room. Therefore, it is very troublesome to go in and out.
For breakfast, snacks, simple bread, and instant coffee are provided in each room.
The staff was very friendly and nice, but overall it was a little inconvenient considering the convenience.

Friendly, helpful, spotlessly clean & very close to train station. The breakfast that was supplied in our room was very generous & a great selection plus you could find more fruit & toast in the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay there, the only downside was the steps but the staff carried all our luggage upstairs.

My wife and I stayed at the B&B Le Ghiacciaie and completely enjoyed our stay. Filippo provided excellent directions including a Google maps link on how to get to the hotel from the train station. We had a beautiful balcony view from our room, and the location was convenient to the main sights of interest in Florence. The breakfast basket in the room was well-stocked, with extras and fresh fruit in the kitchen area. The hosts helped us with our bags during check-in and check-out and were very helpful.

Premise: two-night stay for two people. Breakfast: discount quality prepackaged products and not stocked (2 juices in total for example) Room: extremely hot, cold tap water coming out lukewarm, hair dryer not working, bed without sheets, zero soundproofing (station trains could hear perfectly), room NOT REDONE and not even the bins were emptied. Host: kind but totally unprepared for an emergency in fact he did not know which pharmacies were open at night and which were not referring to "search the internet", unreachable at the number provided (I spent 30min calling him in vain for the emergency). First aid kit ABSENT and by law it is mandatory to have one. Really poor. The only positive note is the central location of the structure

Positive experience. We returned to this b&b after 5 years precisely because we enjoyed it the first time already. We stayed at the b&b for 3 nights and we enjoyed it very much. Excellent availability and ease of communication with the owner. We took advantage of the self check in and thanks to communication with the owner via whatsapp it was very simple.
