Hotel Unicorno

[Convenient for staying near Florence Station] This hotel is about a 5-6 minute walk from Florence S.M.N Station, just past the square and down an alley. When you book the hotel, you will receive a link to fill out your pre-check-in information by email, and checking in will be smooth if you fill out the information in advance. You need to go up the stairs from the hotel front desk to the upper floors, so it may be a bit difficult for people with heavy suitcases. There is an elevator from the first floor (the second floor in Japan). Also, the temperature of the shower in my room was not good, so when I asked the front desk, they said that the water heater was not working properly and that if I left the water running for 10-15 minutes, hot water would come out. In fact, the water gradually changed to hot water in this way, so I was able to avoid any problems, but this was a bit inconvenient as I couldn't take a shower for a while. Other than that, the hotel was quite clean and the front desk staff were kind, so I felt at ease. For breakfast, there were some breads and scrambled eggs, various hams, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, etc., but the menu was the same every day.

The location is very good. It's a 10-minute walk from the train station. You can go straight to the river and go to the Uffizi. The Church of the Flowers, the Central Market, and the famous shopping street are all about 10 minutes away. The old hotel has been renovated, with bedrests, wardrobes, The desks are all made of cement. It’s nice to get a feel for an old hotel. The bathroom is clean and the waiters are very nice. Breakfast is rich. There is milk, juice, sausage, bacon, cheese, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, bread, eggs, and coffee. Take bus No. 6 from the Academy Art Museum. When I got back, I just got off the car in front of the hotel.

The hotel is located a stone's throw from Piazza Duomo and Santa Maria Novella station. Very clean. Fantastic bathroom. I stayed there one night for the marathon and they were helpful in letting me check out a little later. I parked the car in the central garage located 20 meters away. All perfect. The impeccable breakfast. Too bad I returned on Sunday evening due to commitments, otherwise I would have stayed another day.

The location is perfect, everything is very close within walking distance. The staff is very helpful and kind it feels like home. The only difficulty can be a flight of stairs to get to the lift, but with suitcases they help you. My room was a bit small but equipped with all comforts, only the light in the bathroom is a little low, you can't see well to settle down, but with chromotherapy effects. I will be back 😊
