The hotel is located a short distance from the Santa Maria Novella station. With a short walk you reach the city center and in the immediate vicinity is the covered market where you can have lunch and dinner with typical Tuscan products. The room is simple, but extremely comfortable. The breakfast room allows you to have an excellent view of the dome of the church of San Lorenzo and the dome of the Cathedral. The sweet and savory breakfast is rich and abundant. Possibility to leave the luggage after the checkout time.

I stayed at the San Giorgio for two nights with my girlfriend, as we were in town for her birthday. I was already positively impressed when I booked, because the price was great for such a central hotel; obviously, however, a low price can be a double-edged sword, so when we got there (following a 3-minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station) I was a little wary of potential issues with the place – lo and behold, my misgivings were almost entirely baseless. I mean, I'm not gonna lie, the place isn't high-end: it's a little too dark and heavy on curtains/draperies, the toilet in our room was too close to the wall so that it couldn't be opened fully, and the Wi-Fi on the fourth floor was dodgy at timea. What we found, on the other hand, was a very tight-knit staff that was always kind and available, even before our check-in and after our check-out. Moreover, our bed was remade and our towels were replaced every morning, something I don't take for granted in a 3-star hotel. Finally, the 7:30 breakfast was nothing too fancy but did its job very well, especially thanks to the waiters who were always ready to greet newcomers and to offer coffee. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised (I know I sound condescending but my praise is genuine) and I would definitely come back if I were in town for a short period of time.

The location is perfect, it's all very close to a few steps. The staff is very available and kind to feel like at home. The only difficulty can be a staircase to get to the lift, but with the baggage they help you. My room was a little small but with all the comforts, only the light in the bathroom is a little low you can't see well to stay, but with chromotherapy effects. I'll return 😊

We couldn't have asked for a better location; close to the train station and an easy walk to all the sights we wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, with a little balcony, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was modern, even though the hotel is charming and older. The breakfast was very good, with pastries, croissants, breads, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meats, fruit, cereals, yogurt and excellent coffee. The breakfast room was lovely with a balcony with flowers. After checking out, we were able to store our luggage for the day. We would return again!!

I think this hotel deserves a higher rating. The hotel is actually connected to the nearby Santa Maria novella (one of the oldest large monasteries in Florence). The location is not to be said, so every morning I hear the monastery ringing the bell, the window is also the roof of the monastery, thick medieval wind. The interior also uses very old furniture, the bathroom is spacious, there is a tub, hot water, and heating, but the old building has the common disadvantage of poor sound insulation. The layout in the hallway is between classical and modern, and local guides in Chinese can be found in the hallway. I have set up a single room, but it seems to give a double room with enough space. The double bed is made up of two single beds, and the gap is obvious. A little bit awkward. The sanitation is good, and there are slippers and toiletries. The electric kettle needs to be with the front desk. After a while, the waiter will bring the tea bag and the tea cup together. And all the staff are very friendly and thank you very much. Especially the waiter in the restaurant looked very happy every day:) Breakfast is not so rich. But as breakfast is absolutely enough, pie, croissant whole wheat bread, white bread, ham, yogurt, a lot, this price is not yet If you are satisfied, it is best to book a famous five-star hotel... It is very close to Santa Maria del Fiore and San Lorenzo. The third picture is whether the view of the toilet is cool!

I arrived with my septuagenarian parents on April 27 for a week-long stay. The hotel provided us with the right room classification on arrival, but I was concerned that the suite was single bathroom instead of two and the closet space was not optimal for our needs. Annamaria, Victoria and Samuele stand out as front office staff who listened and acted swiftly to help address our request for help and resolved the issue the next day. That was the first wow moment of our stay. I also recommend the breakfast (came with our reservation package) and you should take advantage of the Rooftop Bar, the view of the Duomo and across the city 360 degress is suberb. After 10+ visits to Florence, this hotel has become my new preferred location and I anticipate returning here in the years to come.

This was my first hostel experience on my own and it was soooo good! I felt very safe, staff super friendly, the room and common areas had everything you could ever need! Locker in the room was huge... I had enough space to keep all my things safe, but you need to bring your own padlock (maybe the hostel could make that clear on the booking? although I was prepared, another lady in the room was not ;)). Location great, very close to station (but far enough away that it wasn't a problem....), very close to the sites, restaurants and bars. I would happily return to an Ostello Bello! Grazie

The room has a sense of design. Although it is not very big, it is very warm and comfortable. The only problem with this room type is that it is on the half floor and needs to go down a very narrow staircase. There are still several steps in the room. Big boxes are very unfriendly! The breakfast is still very good, you can sit outside and feel it.

The location is first-class, the environment is very good, the breakfast is comfortable, and the service is absolute. This hotel is really not a good place to go on a business trip, and I like it very much. But the facilities make people feel uncomfortable, although the owner should be sincere. The air conditioning system seems to have cost a lot of money, but guests cannot control it themselves. They need to contact the front desk every time and it starts very slowly, which makes people feel troublesome. The lights in the toilet are so bright that you probably won't be able to sleep if you go to the toilet at night. There were bugs in the room. I saw an electric mosquito coil, but I didn't think it was bedbugs. Fortunately, I didn't find any itching problem after staying for two nights. The front desk clerk checks in and sends you to your room after completing the check-in process. Haha, it feels weird. If the hotel and room facilities are quite satisfactory, you don't need such service. The curtains in the room are also weird. The outermost layer is half-opened. Haha, the shape is unique. The wardrobe is also weird. This is the first time I am so confused about reviewing a hotel. Overall it is good, but I feel that many places are a bit strange. So I canceled my last night's stay and moved to another hotel.

A 3* hotel that exceeded my expectations. Well placed next to the SMN railway station, and literally next to the SMN bus station for Siena and other Tuscan town. The hotel is also not that far from the Florence historic centre. There is also a supermarket very close by. I stayed in a single room, no 315, for 2 nights. Although a single it was not very small, as so often in Italy. The bed was also not too narrow for a large person like me, and was comfortable. Bathroom was large, with a bathtub. Towels were soft and fluffy, of good quality. Cleanliness was very good, and maintained so throughout my stay. The wardrobe was large enough, and the safe & minibar were useful. Overall, the hotel is not a new one, with rather old furniture that shows its age, but I like old-fashioned hotels so it was fine for me. Breakfast was very good, and the service at breakfast was excellent, which is so rare nowadays, even in high star hotels, kudos to the tall Italian guy running the breakfast room from the bar. Also of great help was the young lady from the reception, always helping efficiently, kindly, with a smile. Walls are paper-thin, you can hear everything from the adjoining rooms. It was not warm enough in my room, the AC showed it was working towards 22 degrees, but in fact in was not, and temperature stayed at 19 degrees, which was uncomfortable for me. TV was very small.
