Great location in the centre of town. Beautiful old building with lots of character. Sadly, there needs to be some attention to detail. Some TLC is required and there were a couple of concerns; some of the electrics need to be look at - sockets hanging out of the wall meaning no bedside lights in bedroom. Cleaning left something to be desired; waste bins were not emptied and the floor in the corridor was not swept whilst we were there, highlighted by the beautiful sunshine!! However, the bed was comfortable with good clean linen. Towels were beautifully fluffy. Breakfast was adequate. Jose; the manager was very good at communicating. The pool was not heated as stated in information and there are not kettles in the room as it said there were. Overall, a pleasant stay and with improvements could be a lovely venue. Unfortunately, I cannot believe that, with the concerns I had that it warrants 4 star status.

Casa de Estoi has a new management and the good news is: they didn’t chance anything so far. So it’s still the super sweet small (7 rooms) hotel or B&B. Situated in an old villa in the center of Estoi it has the superb charme of a long gone era. Rooms are all very nice with some even away from the village road in font of the house. Beds are great, breakfast is very good and served in the super sweet breakfast/living room area. All this 4-star feel comes with a true 2-star price level.

A real treat, right beside the church my friend got married in. A walkway down to the Roman ruins. And a safe walkway to the relevant few restaurants and shops. Do not expect a lively area, that is further out with a taxi or over an hour’s walk for major parts of Faro. The hotel itself is full of charm, from the old winery below to the old stable-now-breakfast area. Oh and every room is adjourned with prints of beautific paintings and they’re named after flowers. Mine was ‘Jasmine’. A worthy trip, mixed with a wonderful hostess, Caterina.

This casa is a little gem. It's run by a lovely lady called Catherina, who is absolutely delightful, nothing is too much trouble. The house is an old family home, not a museum a home, you can sit anywhere or touch anything. There is an honour bar and you can take your drinks to the little poolside. The rooms are lovely, ours had a little terrace, it's a true home from home, so comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic, including home made cake.

Wonderful old building. No on-site parking but parking on street close by was easy. Catarina met us and showed us round after a welcome complimentary drink. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she explained the history of the place as we walked round. Our room was good and decorated in the way you’d expect for such a historic building. The bed, however, was not the most comfortable. Breakfast, taken in the converted stables, was basic but perfectly adequate. Didn’t need the fresh orange juice to be watered down though. There was an honesty bar where you helped yourself and noted on a sheet against your room name what you had taken. Not an idea that would take off in the more touristy hotels of the Algarve methinks!! Hotel had a small pool outside, but this looked more ornamental than functional, and far too cold in November anyway. Overall, an excellent one night stay en route inland, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow travellers.

Good morning also no. We arrived well in advance and no one answered us when we arrived. In the meantime we moved waiting for the check in time which was from 15 to 23. At 16 a certain Catarina contacted us telling us that the room had not been accepted and that she had booked us another hotel (hostel) about 10 min. After making the company where we had booked and paid well in advance (about 5 months before) to intervene, we had to accept this bad choice. I've never done reviews but if you don't want to find yourself without accommodation DO NOT BOOK HERE ....

We spent the night of July 2, 2022 in this hotel. To be honest, I didn't like it at all! We paid €129.99 for a double room but I think half the price was still expensive! The furniture is not old, it's old !!! There is a certain decadent air to the whole house. Existing televisions are huge "boxes" from the last century. The bedside table lamps were not plugged in and it was not possible to find an electrical outlet nearby. When we reported this problem to the maid (who has worked there for 7 years!), she said she was unaware of this fact!!! The cleaning of some spaces leaves a lot to be desired. When we arrived at the room after breakfast, we were faced with an invasion of ants, on a large piece of bread (which we had bought the night before). We brought this incident to the attention of the maid. The breakfast area, which borders the pool area, had a dirty floor with small dry leaves. There are no eggs for breakfast (neither boiled, nor scrambled, nor fried!) . There is also no hot milk; whoever wants it has to ask the maid to heat it up. The bread that my husband took for breakfast also had ants, which we made known to the waitress. In conclusion, we do not recommend this accommodation at all!

The pension is impressive because it is in the house of a large farmer from the year 1900. It is right on the town's main square next to the church. The room layouts and stairs are from the construction period. Unfortunately, the house is not very well maintained, which you can see from the outside by looking at the window. The central location is combined with the location on a thoroughfare that is also constantly busy at night. Even with the windows closed, the street noise affected our night's sleep. The bed in our room was too soft. As a blanket there was a woolen blanket, so hygienic horror, which we were able to reduce thanks to a second sheet we asked for, in which we packed the blanket. The room had a bath tub. The toilet had not been cleaned, which the landlady made up for when we complained. The enamelling of the tub had countless flaws. Unfortunately we arrived on a Monday, which is to be avoided. Because no local restaurant is open on Mondays (except for the overpriced and not recommended Pousada restaurant). Breakfast is served in the former coach house, which is open to the courtyard. Also here we would have liked more cleanliness. The range of hot drinks, bread, S ***** s, cheese and fruit was sufficient.
