We enjoy the Fairfield chain of hotels on our travels. The one in Emporia was a little more “worn” than others. It was still comfy, quiet, clean, & had all the amenities listed. The temp was 79 when we entered our room & we used AC & fan to cool it down. Breakfast was continental and varied except no pastries…not a dealbreaker. Our car, loaded for FL, was safe overnight. (The last person there left the alarm set for midnight…so don’t forget to check the alarm before you go to bed!)

No hand soap on counter, just in the tub area. Heating system did not work properly. Check in clerk didn't care about our request for soap and he was not dress to impress. Was not sure if he was an employee.

Front Desk host was super helpful! My boyfriend and I drove in later then our scheduled check in time, showed up around 4am-5am. The host lets us have a later check out time so we could sleep, loved that!

Room they had for us right next to elevator over the front door, noisey all night long, would never recommend this hotel .

The hotel was very nice. Clean. Standard rooms. But the rooms smelled musty, damp. All carpets should be replaced in guest rooms & hallways.

I was really tired and needed sleep. However, the room felt damp to point of the sheets feeling moist to the touch. It was difficult to get comfortable and hard to stay asleep. The property was otherwise very clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was nice. However, the discomfort of the room overshadowed the property’s best qualities.

The room was dirty bathroom was not clean the tub was rusty and dirty. So they moved me to another room and that room had ants . I called customer service and requested that I get a refund on my bill now I am waiting for your response

The receptionist. Quiana, was a delightful. When we got to our room, the toilet didn’t flush, back to reception for another room. In the second room the TV in the bedroom didn’t work, back to reception. My husband decided not to change rooms again after our 12 hour drive. My husband went to get ice and none of the ice machines on any floor worked - back to reception to see if they had any ice — NO. The next morning the breakfast was awful. The coffee was not good, no juice, no bottled water, no ice water. We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but this was awful. We have reservations for November and December and are considering canceling them. Alice and Harvey Bloom
