We stayed at the Kaiserhof for one week and we can summarize our experience on one word: WOW! Every aspect of this hotel is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and on top of their game. The food is exceptional in quality and presentation. No surprise that this hotel was awarded „Austrias Hotel of the Year“ in 2022. Congratulations to the Owners and the entire team for creating and maintaining such an experience.

What a superb hotel! The quality of the food is superb and all the staff were so friendly and professional. The design of the hotel is very stylish and the infinity pool on the roof is amazing - what a view! We were very lucky with the weather and did lots of walks in the surrounding area. Can’t wait to return!

Everything in the hotel is of the highest standard. We keep returning every year because the atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant and the staff are incredible! We enjoyed swimming every morning in the lake with clear water from the mountain spring. Breakfast had everything you need and more - delicious teas and tasty egg dishes. One of our favorite part of the hotel is the amazing spa and massages. However the dinner experience in the evening is something from another planet! Big thank you again to the whole team and especially Mr and Mrs Lampert!

Kaiserhof is one of the best ski hotels we have been in Europe. The owner, Bianca Lampert, has mastered servicing her guests by providing a "pillow menu", training her staff to exceed guest's expectations, providing a shuttle service for guests. The food was outstanding, similar to a 2 star Michelin. We were there for 12 days and did not have a duplicate dinner. The alternative menu selection is just as good! The buffet breakfast is one of the best we have ever experienced. They provide snacks for lunch and we were quite astounded by what they call snacks. Typically, you get a choice of soup and a hot dish of chicken, wurst, spaetzle, etc. On top of that, they provide fresh cold cuts, salads, wide variety of cheeses, creamy herring dish, shrimp dish, home-made bread & the daily desserts. You will never go hungry! This truly is a ski-in/ski-out hotel and the views from the outdoor pool are the best. This hotel has one of the best spas we have ever experienced in a European ski destination. There are so many other activities they make available besides skiing, i.e. sleigh rides, snowshoe hike, x-country skiing, massages. We loved this hotel and the staff experience so much, we booked our next ski trip at this hotel for next year.

What can I say about this experience? It was a truly 5 star. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The servers were attentive, they adapted to whatever we needed, and even unpacked the car and put the skis away. As a family-owned hotel, you get a truly inviting experience, and this was very evident in all aspects of our stay. The food in the half-board option was amazing. Not only was it exquisitely prepared, the presentation delights foodies of all *****es. We were delighted with every course at every meal. They have a wine menu that is extensive and heavily focussed on Austrian wines, though other wines are available as well. The half board inlcudes an afternoon "snack" was a buffet with soups, salads, cheeses, meats and usually a hot offering. The breakfast was a full European breakfast with meats, cheeses, fish, breads, a variety of breads (of course) and drinks. We went there to ski, and it was truly ski-in/ski-out. If you did not want to make the run to the bottom, they were happy to take you to the gondola to the top, or back to the hotel if you wanted to ride down. They have a schedule of activities if you need a break from skiing, and day trips to Saltzburg, Innsbruck and Zell am See are easy (about 1.5 hrs driving time). After this, the spa is not to be missed. They have a heated roof-top pool where you could watch skiers and boarders coming down the piste, several different sauna experiences, and (our favorite) a salt room to refresh your lungs. This was undoubtedly the best ski hotel that we've stayed in. I'm confident that this would be delightful in other seasons as well.

Our family stayed 9 days in the Kaiserhof and were left a little underwhelmed. This is an expensive hotel at €1000 per night. We paid €19,000 for 2 rooms, so were expecting a 5 star experience. The hotel only offers half board options (that means breakfast and dinner included in your rate) but honestly, there’s only so much you can eat so it’s not really worth the expense, particularly if you don’t want to eat 6 courses every night or if you have small children who survive on bread and grapes. I was disappointed that the reception staff weren’t more knowledgeable about tobogganing in the area for the kids and it would’ve been helpful to know prior to our arrival that ski instructors and ski school weren’t available for several days. It meant several days of essentially doing nothing whist arrangements were made for equipment and waiting for ski school and instructors to start. The pools (both indoor and outdoor) are cold so whilst we were looking forward to spending time with our children, particularly the youngest who was not skiing, it wasn’t too appealing, particularly in winter. Room cleaning was below par. No effort to tidy at all. But I think one of the things that really aggravated me from the get go, was the penny pinching: TAP water, that’s right, straight out of the tap, was ~€8. They offer a coffee machine in the rooms but charge you for the coffee pods! We asked reception if they could do a bag wash of our clothes as we had children’s clothes that needed washing, particularly as we were there 9 nights and coming from Australia were in the middle of our travels, but the girl just referred us the the laundry list in the room. We then had to spend half the day driving to Kitzbuhel to do our laundry. For skiers who are inexperienced/beginner level, be aware that Kaiserhof is not a ski in/ski out hotel. There is a red run, very steep, outside the hotel which you can join, which obviously good skiers can manage but not for those who are a little rusty. You have to drive to the Kaiserbahn station or to the beginner slopes on Altestrasse. With this hotel, you’re a captive as it’s not in the main town. You’re perched on top of the hill, so you can’t enjoy any fun après without driving into the town. The vibe at the hotel is unfortunately rather boring. Even the bar and outside areas have little atmosphere which is a shame with such spectacular views of the mountains. All in all, it’s not a 5 star experience and I wouldn’t recommend unless for a very short stay.

The hotel is the perfect location for an unforgettable winter vacation. Especially the warmth of the host family makes the atmosphere during Christmas season something quite unique. We felt very comfortable all around! The culinary experience was as amazing as the excellent wine list with in-house wines and many treasures from the region. Huge plus point: the direct location next to the ski slope. After a long day of skiing there’s nothing better than taking a swim in the infinity pool or warming up in one of the many saunas! Big thanks also goes to the entire reception team, which has organized the rental of ski equipment etc. so effortlessley that nothing stood in the way of a relaxed ski trip. We will be back!
