I just returned from a weeks visit to Andorra with my boyfriend and really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Sporting. The hotel was located centrally with an easy walk to the slopes, and shops and bars within a few minutes walk. The spa facilities (jacuzzi and sauna) was ideal for after a day on the slopes. The room was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed and plenty of storage. The buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner had plenty of options for us (things aren’t labelled so sometimes it was a guess what was what). The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The only slight downside was the WiFi which wasn’t very reliable! I’d recommend staying at Hotel Sporting if you visit Andorra!

Me and my daughters visited the sporting last week of march 23 I was looking forward to this one as I have stayed in most of the hotels in Pas de La casa. Rooms had a fantastic view of the slopes Good quality bathroom ventillaton sometimes poor after a hot shower. For a triple room was a bit tight there is a dressing room area it's adequate for 3. A higher quality TV should be provided. There is nowhere to dry your wet gloves or jackets in the rooms a slight problem. Only a patio door so you can't get fresh air in or freeze to death. Limited furniture in the room which was not needed as guests scrap these in the middle of the night. Decor was quite funky with the snowboard graphics. Excellent location to the slopes a real gem Lifts in good order take you to the spa which worked was a good temp and the staff lovely polite and welcoming. Bath robes provided massage extra. Sleeping was good bedding changed and kept to a high standard no internal noise. But I think the party goers were on form all week had to use ear plugs in pas this is common if you are close to the slopes. The food was a great layout with vegetarian and fish and a grill chef on tap at all times. The sporting and Christina are part of the same hotel chain and the managers are super professional. They take time out to actually welcome you. So hats off to the sporting you have earned it. However some really miserable guests but hey ho can't win them all.

Just landed back from our holiday at pas de la casa hotel sporting, booked as part of a package holiday with crystal ski. I must admit that I had high standards for this hotel, I had heard off it before and seen it when visiting pas on previous occasions. In season it's fairly pricey so when we found a good deal on what we considered to be a 'premier hotel' we jumped on the chance. However I'm sad to say it didn't live up to expectations. Here's what Needs improving -We were Woken up every night by drunk people in the street, whilst I appreciate the hotel can't control drunk people, something needs to be done (windows need sound proofing) waking up every night 3-4 times is unacceptable in a 4 star hotel. Period. This happened every night like clockwork. -There is no fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room, really such a big miss to not have these and I feel it's such an easy win for the hotel to implement. -Dinner food quality was low and not clean. I really struggle to see how people are commending the food quality, i found a long black hair in my food one night, food often cold and you can just tell it's the cheapest food they could buy. I've stayed in Europian resorts at half the price with better free food. - they need to add a temperature valve on the radiator in the room. It gets too hot at night and you can't turn the thing off. You eventually have to open the window which basically feels like every drunk person in the street is now on bed with you. -Do not disturb signs ignored by room cleaners, we were Woken up one day because they decided to knock and ask if the room needed cleaning. I appreciate the ask but the do not disturb is there for a reason, we wanted a lie in and to not be woken up! -Pros Spa was really nice and clean, great after long day of snowboarding. Restaurant staff were very kind and tentative Close to ski lift Ski lockers, though small and cramped, were handy. Room did feel big, regardless of some of the flaws Hotel were also quick to fix a light bulb that has blown in our room (sorted within 5 minutes) so that was a plus. Buffet breakfasts were much better than dinner and actually worthwhile! Generally hotel seems clean. All in all I would rate the hotel closer to a 3 star, and we would be unlikely to visit again if I'm totally honest. Hopefully they can take the feedback on in a positive manner and do some improvements!

A ski holiday booked through Crystalski. Hotel was first class we felt with friendly staff and the room was absolutely fine. Shower was always hot. Only slight criticism is that the room was too warm for us and although we turned off radiator it was still too warm for us. If we opened window then sleeping was a problem because of the lively nature of Pas de la Casa. We booked half board and the food was plentiful and varied. Highly recommend and we will try to return in the future

Major issue for me - very Bad wifi. Sitting right by the router in the bar, download speed was 9.94 Mbps. In my room on the third floor it was less than 1Mbps. As Andorra is not in the EU, there so there is no free roaming with either my UK or Spanish SIMs, meaning staying connected is impossible unless you want to sit in the bar to do your business (not ideal if you want to make a private call using WiFi). The hotel is clean and located right by the ski slope on the high street. I have a nice view from my room. The reception staff are polite and helpful. My room is spacious and clean, but has no kettle for hot drinks and no fridge for cold drinks. The TV is old fashioned and if you speak English there is only BBC News and CNN. Combined with lack of WiFi, this makes the room experience rather dull, as you can’t unwind with an actual entertainment programme. The hotel has a big jacuzzi and sauna in the basement which was free to use. The in hotel massage is weirdly on the first floor in a room with no toilet or even a chair for waiting, and the masseur seems weirdly reluctant to use any towels. I would suggest giving the massage here a miss. The food is a buffet and was pretty good. Staff are helpful and clear things away quickly. (It would help if the food was labelled as is common in buffets so you know what it contains). Not the fault of the hotel, but it was quite noisy late at night as revellers in groups walked home drunk along the main high street between about midnight and 2am. You might bring ear plugs if noise bothers you.

Stayed here early February 2023 with a group of friends. The hotel location is great, ~50m walk to the base chair lift. The hotel provides underground parking on a first-come, first-served basis and charges the average rate for this service. Reception are friendly, multi-lingual and helpful. Our room was ready an hour early and we were allowed to check in. The room was a decent size, warm and comfortable. Standard euro double (two singles) set up. The bathroom had a big walk-in shower and double sink. Good water pressure and hot water always available. Toiletries provided. The room also has a walk in wardrobe area and a safe. Boot room has individual lockers controlled by your room key, and enough space for 2 sets of skis and boots. I believe they are advertised as heated, but ours wasn’t. The restaurant was probably the weak point of the hotel. Very narrow tables in a booth setup, quite tight to get in and out of. Breakfast wasn’t good. Usual mix of meats, cheese, sausage, egg, cereal, yoghurt etc. Two things stood out to me - the scrambled egg looked horrendous, and when they brought more bacon out from the kitchen it was fridge-cold. Certainly not good. I avoided hot food here for the rest of the week given those practices. Otherwise, cereal, coffee and cold items were good. The bar. Spirit and mixer measures are extremely strong. Probably ~200ml of spirit per drink. Which is a good job because the rate of service is incredibly slow. The staff are the same ones working the restaurant, it isn’t their fault. When we once asked reception if someone could come and serve on the bar, we were told someone was already there (despite having waited at the bar for 10 mins… with nobody there) Only other problem we had is after being served drinks one time, the bar staff didn’t write up the ticket and have us sign it to put on our room. We waited 15 minutes after finishing our drinks and, gave up and left. Went to our room and changed in preparation to go out, planning to go via the bar again to check. On reaching reception the bar staff member was furious and acting as if we were trying to get away without paying. Bit frustrating given how long we had waited for them, but quickly resolved. Would I stay here again? Yes. But in the evenings they need to have a dedicated bar staff member. Also, there are food safety issues here when food is being brought out from the kitchen and fridge temperatures to be placed on a hot plate. These need to be resolved.

We stayed as a family in rooms 114 and 115 on the first floor, looking out towards the main ski lift and the mountains. Great rooms, large with good storage for clothing, great shower and two single beds together. We were half board and had buffet breakfast and evening meal, lots of food, good selection for veggies (wife and daughter) and lots of meat and seafood. Always huge choice and salad bar and puddings galore. We stayed for five nights and after the first night wore earplugs for every other night. Outside the hotel, at the back (facing the slopes) appears to be the locals meeting place when they ae kicked out of the bar. There are street lights, seating areas, no traffic. So they sit, drink more alcohol, shout, sing loudly in a huge group. It is actually quite quiet until this 04:30am meeting point. It is sold as "on the slopes" but you have to exit the ski lockers at the front of the hotel (next to main front door), then walk around the hotel and up some metal steps to get to the slope. Not far, but not like "ski in - ski out" hotels we have stayed at before. Great hotel, nice spa with huge hot tub, cold showers, steam room and sauna. No charge and perfect after a day on the slopes. We were there 22nd to 27th March 2022, great snow and sunshine most days. Best early, lifts open at 9am we were always on the first ones. all pistes were crisp and fast, well manicured overnight by the piste-bashers. Leaving those lovely little ridges to turn on. Most slopes are very wide and above the tree line, mostly red runs, even the blues had "red - steeper" sections; the blacks tended to be same gradient but narrower, so you had to keep turning. Great skiing for the family, if you are all parallel turners. No problem even on the black runs. By 3pm in the afternoon, especially the sun facing slopes were getting deep, wet snow. You needed to pick where to turn, some pistes that were not manicured overnight, could be quite icy...just dig those edges in! Ski Hire shops galore, in all directions. The equipment we hired was very good, I paid £75 for top ski's only to find that when I gave them back in they were offered for sale at 100 Euro and put in the racks outside the hire shop!!! Almost cheaper to buy than hire! Our fourth visit to Andorra, twice to Pas and twice to Soldeu; we will return, as a family we preferred the quieter Soldeu because it was in the centre of the GRANDVILIRA ski area, but has a much smaller town. less shops to visit!
