The hotel is located on the shores of Lake Argentine, with beautiful scenery and gorgeous sunrise colors! The front desk of the hotel has a service to provide local tourism projects. The lady has a very good attitude and helps our family to arrange the itinerary. The town is not big and has a very breath of life!

Staff were all helpful, and rooms were clean. Location is fantastic, literally one block off the heart of the town. They also had on-site parking which was great since we had a rental car. Breakfast was sub-par for us, so we went to a local coffeeshop instead. BEWARE if you're going in February, there is an Annual Celebration ”Fiesta Del Lago” which includes nights of music at the Amphitheater RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL. If you don't have earplugs (or you aren't interested in being at the concert yourself!), be aware that you will be up until the music ends as it's very loud. Check the dates before booking this location.

The hotel is very good, clean, quiet and very well located at 1 1/2 squares of the main street. They offer breakfast, though not very varied, not even offer you a Calafat marmelade that is typical of the place and they want to sell it everywhere.It does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but if you have meat service for some excursion that to The rooms are spacious and unfit, with excellent beds, good water pressure in the shower, very clean and have a freezer. Something that disturbs a little is that heating is super strong so sometimes soffocates, more if they play a nice day, but it solves by opening a little to ventilate. We recently stayed here for one night on our travels. The location is fantastic, right in the center of El Calafate, with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We had a car during our stay, and the hotel has their own small, secure lot, right on the property which was nice. The hotel itself looks a bit dated, wooden walls, worn bathroom, carpeted floors, etc. Not sure if other rooms had this issue, but our bathroom had a slightly sewer smell that would come and go throughout the day, there was also beard hair in the sink when we arrived, which was a slight turn-off. The included breakfast buffet was decent. Lots of choices of baked goods, fruits, etc. A fun bonus was the game room. We played some table tennis, but there was also the option of playing table football and pool, as well.

Very basic hotel. We had planned our trip late and this was the only room in town we could book for the week of New Years. We had one issue when on New Years Eve after an all day hike they locked us out of our room (extremely unprofessional, rude and aggressive) in order to have us move into another room to do repairs. Imagine on New Years Eve before getting ready for a holiday: pack all your stuff and move!! When I asked for a discount for the inconvenience they decided they didn't need to repair anything.... Otherwise the hotel was again basic and if not very bare of furnishings, bare floors and walls. Breakfast gets a C grade.

THE GOOD: The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a great ”elevated mountain lodge” vibe. The lobby and restaurant area are beautiful, and breakfast was tasty. Having a pool and sauna was also nice to unwind after a long day of hiking. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The hotel is not on the main ***** of town but a short 10-minute walk away, so it's no inconvenience. THE NOT SO GOOD: The level of service was definitely not up to par with the price/category of the hotel. At those prices you expect attentive, effective service and that's not what we got. They seemed overwhelmed and unprepared, and they made various mistakes throughout our stay (prepared the wrong lunch boxes even though we made sure 4 times before that they had gotten the order right, mistakenly gave our room key to other guests who entered our room, etc.). None of it was that important, but their reaction made us feel like we weren't important to them at all - they even said they'd send complimentary gifts to our room to apologize, which they never did (thus making the matter even worse). Overall it's a good choice for lodging in El Calafate as long as you don't have crazy high standards regarding service.

Come back from Antarctica to see the glacier. There is a car at the airport to send directly to the hotel, buy a round-trip ticket, cheap, open the hotel after three days, send to the airport, I like this town, roses are everywhere, Argentina Lake is particularly beautiful

Everything about this place is wonderful. It was the first place I visited while traveling as a backpacker. In addition to being economical, it is a space to feel, connect, and live magical experiences. The atmosphere is tremendously beautiful, it feels very calm and friendly, I found the rooms very nice, the beds were very comfortable, it is a safe place, I always loved the breakfast. The kitchen is a meeting space, and please, the people at the reception are WONDERFUL!! I hope you remember me, but for Liam, Dani, Jere, let them know that I loved them with my life and I remember them with love every day. I arrived with a full backpack and left with an even fuller heart. RECOMMENDED D I S I M O.
