Quality Inn Effingham

Stayed here twice in a month both great experiences! I have experienced 2 different pet rooms neither had any smells. I wouldn’t know if you didn’t tell me We need a place as we were traveling with out pet. Pet fee $15. Place very safe no issues either time. Left stuff in the back seat. No issues Breakfast was great. Eggs were real and not powdered. Bagels fruit juice coffee cereal sausage yogurt. The beds were comfortable, clean rooms This quality inn changes my opinion on quality inns! This is a very competitive property with other perceived higher brands. And at a better price !

Starting with Sammy third shift check outstanding service then Tina for making breakfast awesome and also Tina and Trisha at the front desk provided the best customer service you could ask for. I didn’t get the house keeping staffs names on the first floor but also outstanding service. Last but not least the maintenance guy takes great pride in his job. These folks have provided one the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. LaQuinta you definitely have top notch people here. Thank you!

Hotel class, the price is relatively cheap, do not dare to ask for anything
Fairfield Inn & Suites Effingham

When we first walked in there was someone standing at the front desk waiting to greet us unlike most hotels where you have to wait around for somebody's help we received chocolate chip cookies they were delicious. check in was extremely easy and the person at the front desk was pleasant. The room was clean and didn't smell like pets or cigarettes like most hotel rooms despite it having carpet. The only real problem was or toilet keep running but when you closed the bathroom door it was enough of a sound bearer so I didn't bother us. There was outdated furniture that was heavily used but expected because it is a hotel room I do not come To sit in the room and look at all 4 walls I want to experience the amenities they have for us The work out room smelled of body odor to the point I had to take a pass. The pool was small but thankfully no one wanted to be in it so I had it too mysel. I was extremely satisfied with the hottub it was actually hot. The pool towels were on the deck so you didn't have to go to the front desk to get them. Breakfast was very well organized there was a good variation of food to eat. The staff made sure food kept coming out so it never got low.
Days Inn by Wyndham Effingham

When I book a room I generally look at the reviews 1st, price 2nd. But since we were just spending a night on our way home from vacation, we went with price. Honestly the reviews were not very favorable. It is an older Days Inn, the lobby is very small but the afternoon attendant was pleasant. The beds were a little different, the mattresses seemed new(er) and very comfortable but the base was metal so when you sat on the bed it sounded like you were hitting a metal drum, and the height of the base made the beds a little higher to get into. But my room was clean, the bathroom was clean, everything worked well. Now the other room I booked had some electrical issues - outlets working odd, and someone (I'm assuming the previous occupant) had plugged the coffee pot into the outlet that was operated by the light switch so that started perking spewing water all over, thank goodness the pot was sitting inside a tray. We had a quiet night, slept well. The breakfast was adequate - standard coffee, juice, sweet rolls, and waffle maker. The breakfast area was clean. The women checking out were very pleasant and helpful. I would have no problem staying here again but don't expect the Taj Mahal.
