Hanover 71 Suites

New Town
The hotel is located in the new town, 10 minutes walk to Prince Street, the location is very good, downstairs is very popular with locals of the traditional British restaurant, locals will come here specially for breakfast. There is a unique design style, the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable enough, very comfortable experience, the only downside is that the stairs are very narrow and the large luggage is very difficult to get up and down.

I booked 6 hotels in the UK this time. This one is the one I am most satisfied with. The location is excellent, just on Princes Street, and it is easy to find. The breakfast provided by the hotel is an authentic English breakfast, which is very rich and tastes good ,recommend.

I booked this in a panic after another hotel messed me around, it was a little expensive but very convenient location. I arrived frustrated and annoyed but the staff were friendly and helped me with my bags. Room was nice and comfortable, if not a little small. Bath and shower worked perfectly. It was clean. Thank you for saving my trip!
InterContinental Edinburgh The George, an IHG Hotel

This was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

We stayed for 1 night in this beautiful hotel as a birthday night away and it was definitely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. As we arrived at the hotel we were kindly met with a staff member that went over our room, breakfast, dinner and all the other queries we had. We were worried about how hotel stays works during times of COVID however, the hotel was superbly clean and guidelines were followed at all times. We stayed in the executive club room and it was amazing! Our room was spotless and decorated very beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows are the best I’ve ever used! As for the shower it was an over head rain shower with excellent water pressure. We had breakfast in the morning and it was beautiful would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a stay. Everything about the stay was spectacular and have recommended it to my friends and family. I’m looking at booking another night again for the new year due to how good my experience was. The staff were also very friendly and showed exceptional customer service. Beautiful room, lovely staff and an amazing nights stay! 5/5

I visited the W for the first time on Friday evening. From the moment we stepped through the door the experience was exquisite. We didn’t have a reservation however sitting at the bar in the upstairs lounge was wonderful. We met the lovely Sumith who educated us on everything wine related. Edson our bartender made some delicious cocktails. The experience was perfection from start to finish, I cannot wait to return!! To finish off our wonderful evening we were given access to the 12th floor, just WOW. I’ve not seen views like these in Edinburgh!!
