Wakefield South (M1, Jct39)

Fantastic service from start to finish. Special mention to Sue, who not only checked us in with efficiency and a friendly attitude, but she also became chef the next morning and made us a delicious breakfast!! Our room was very clean and tidy and located just a few steps from reception which was perfect for me with my mobility issues. Thank you so much, we will definitely be staying again 😊

We stayed at the Wakefield premier inn, my partner had proposed that night and Shak who was working on reception arrange for a little surprise to be left in our room for when we returned, such a thoughtful gesture, couldn’t of asked for anyone better to look after us on such a special night

Back to stay at Wakefield South again and the service hasn’t disappointed so far. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy and staff are friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Jamie who checked us in; he was super friendly and gave our little boy a small gift which went down well. A really lovely place to stay if you’re visiting Wakefield.

This is my favourite hotel in the whole of the UK. The staff are beyond wonderful and the rooms were spotless. Really comfortable beds and the best full English breakfast ever. It's known as Premier Inn Wakefield South and is easily accessible. Thank you to all of them.

Pleasant, helpful staff (thank you Jamie for the information regarding evening dining). Breakfast was of a good standard. Hotel had many features we’d like to see in all Premier Inns - a lift, opening windows and a breakfast area with space to move around.

Before we booked we were advised that the hotel was about to be refurbished and checking out reviews on Tripadvisor many comments referred to the inferior condition of the rooms. That said we went ahead and booked three nights here whilst visiting family in the area. The welcome was first class. All the staff we met excelled in customer service skills. Yes, the rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment but our room was clean and functional. Cannot wait to see the refurbished hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely welcome at the hotel, really easy check-in. We had an accessible room which was clean and had everything we needed. We had a breakfast at the hotel the following morning which was delicious and really good value. Natasha and Sue made our visit a really excellent experience so thank you to you both. Natasha for the wonderful welcome and Sue for the fabulous food. We will be back ☺️

This Premier Inn is very convenient for Wakefied, set back from the main road it is a relatively quiet location. Breakfast is excellent as freshly cooked and not served from heated trays, definitely a plus. Room was satisfactory, bathroom on the small side, shower tray small for larger person, and shower curtain inadequate, water sprayed over barthroom floor! Television was small for room, I watched a football match and could hardly see players. The tv handset was not very responsive.
