HOTEL ALLGEMEIN & ZIMMER Das Hotel hält leider nicht was es verspricht. Die Damen an der Rezeption sind kühl und von einem herzlichen Willkommen sein spürt man nichts. Beim Check in keine Hilfe beim Gepäck angeboten bekommen. Im Zimmer erwartet den vollzahlenden und nicht über Billig-Pirtale gebuchten Gast: 500ml ungekühltes Wasser für einen 3 Nächte Aufenthalt - sonst gar nichts! Kein Grußkärtchen, kein simpler Apfel, kein winziges Blümchen … Das Bett ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und knarrt, die Kissen sind in einem miserablen und ungepflegten Zustand (ekelig, Fotos sind vorhanden). Die Bezüge zu den Kissen passen nicht (alle in 80 x 80 für 40 x 40 & 40 x 80er KissenInlet). Ebenso die Frotteewäsche, fleckig und zerschlissen … einfachste Qualität. Das der Minibar entnommene Wasser wurde über den Aufenthalt hin nicht mehr nachgefüllt. Die zum Zimmer gehörende Terrasse war sehr ungepflegt, die verkrauteten und ausgedörrten Pflanztöpfe und der Boden gaben ein sehr trauriges Bild ab … Die Ränder in der Dusche waren schimmelig in verschiedenen Farben … FRÜHSTÜCK Das Frühstück war alles andere als das angepriesene „Gourmet-Frühstück“ … alles einfacher Standard inklusive riesigen Glasschüsseln mit der üblichen Füllung von Joghurt & Obstsalat sowie große Platten mit Aufschnitt … Einzige Besonderheit: eine Station zum Waffeln backen SPA Sehr verschachtelt über das gesamte Haus aufgeteilter Bereich, teilweise hübsch gestaltet. Verschiedene Ruhezonen (sehr eng bestuhlt) und verschiedene Saunen. Leider unübersichtlich - ist aber bauseitig wahrscheinlich nicht anders möglich gewesen. Der Teil mit Schwimmbad ist nicht zu empfehlen, liegt im Keller und mutet an wie ein dezent aufgehübschtes 80er Jahre Hallenbad - gänzlich ohne Atmosphäre. Das im SPA anzutreffende Personal ist unmotiviert und nicht in der Lage einen entspannten Aufenthalt zu bieten. Wie hotelseitig gewünscht war ich für jede meiner Behandlung 10 Minuten vor der Zeit an def SPA-Rezeption, auch hier keinerlei Willkommenensgrüße oder individuelle SPA-Rituale … die Masseurinnnen/Kosmetikerinnen werden terminlich so eng getacktet das sie gerade einmal 10 Minuten zwischen Gast verabschieden, Raum auffrischen und neuen Gast begrüßen haben. Da bleibt weder Zeit für Desinfektion noch für ein kurzes Durchatmen. Die Masseurin Frau S. war gut qualifiziert und höflich. Die Kosmetikerin Frau G. war unbeholfen eher grob. Die 20 Minuten Masken-Einwirkzeit wurde nicht wie häufig üblich mit einer Handmassage oder Ähnlichem überbrückt … in dieser bezahlten Zeit passierte gar nichts … Die SPA Rezeption fungiert nicht als bindendes Element zwischen den Masseurinnnen/Kosmetikerinnen ABENDESSEN das Restaurant Makadan ist sehr empfehlenswert, Service, Speisen, Getränke, Atmosphäre - insgesamt stimmig und den Preis wert !

Gorgeous place and the people in town are great! The hotel is beautiful and beds are very comfortable

A great stay in every respect - service is world-class from email responses in planning through departure. The restaurant is fabulous - preparation, execution, service and wine list and a value for the experience. The room was large (Maisonette Suite), quiet and comfortable. All modern amenities for electronics. The spa area is on multi levels with treatment areas, saunas, hot tub and indoor pool. Parking is outside or for 15 Euro, in the garage - the garage parking is worth the extra. This is a wine town and there are excellent wineries in an easy (under 5 minute) drive or walk up the hills in town. Simply outstanding.

We’ve been coming here for several years now to relax and dine. The cooking style has evolved to a more casual approach which we like very much. I particularly want to stress the quality of the meat courses’ preparation. I’ve never eaten beef and venison that came close to what is served here. Plus: the next day you can feast on by far the best breakfast selection I know.

The hotel is located in a small village but has a great location to all the major cities. Our room was spacious, clean and so comfortable! Housekeeping every day. Their restaurant has great food, their breakfast was excellent and had a great array of food. Customer service was a 10. We loved everything about this hotel. Everything! Every department of the hotel was a 10!

When we arrived early we asked where we could go to wait for our room to be ready. We were told we could go to the pool area. I asked where it was. We went to go look for it, and upon finding it realized you need a key to get in. We were told “we would have to give you one.” We asked where the pool was why wouldn’t they have told us we needed a key. We were here for a Wedding, which the hotel was aware of as there was a dinner that night at the hotel. At the dinner, a drink was spilled on my husband where it soaked all of his clothes. When I asked the next day if they would clean his shirt, there was much hesitation and they said they would see what they can do as we were leaving the next day, but as it had to be dry cleaned, we decided to just forget it. But we felt it should’ve been offered to clean his clothes as everything he was wearing got so wet he had to change. Next, as the wedding had an early start time and we needed to be ready by noon, It should not have been too difficult to let the cleaning staff know to wait till 12 for the rooms of hotel guests preparing for a wedding. This is a nice property, but overall felt the expectations after reading reviews as well as description of the property were set high and were not met. Front desk staff was efficient but I would not say friendly. Breakfast is nice, varied. Property is clean and rooms are spacious but lack of attention to details was noted.

Room not as expected (depressing view), old fashioned while other picture was presented at the moment of booking on site. Not cleaned as it should be done in a 4 star hotel. Good restaurant, nice dishes, friendly service. Large breakfast, but doubts on the freshness. Not all team members speak English, not even at the reception desk. Very friendly staff in tje breakfast room.
