Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik|0.85km from The Lazarettos
We stayed here for 5 nights during our visit to Dubrovnik and were sorry to leave. Don’t believe the negative reviews here as there are some people impossible to please. Hilton should make this hotel the standard for service and quality. We’ve been on the road since April and staying in Hilton hotels around Europe and UK, and none have matched the quality and service this one has and for the same price I might add. Every Hilton we stay in (except this one) the air conditioning does not work, or the elevators don’t work, or the shower floods the bathroom… their coffee machines are crap, and their food is second rate. None of that here. The breakfast (included in the cost of the room) was fabulous… they have espresso machines, so you can have a cappuccino, fresh squeezed orange juice, a variety of breads, champagne, and the food is fresh and of high quality. The rooms are spacious, modern, well decorated, and have all the amenities one can need. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The location could not be more convenient with just a 3 min walk to Pile Gate (main entrance to Old Town). The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The people servicing the rooms are lovely and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The hotel can exchange money for a very small percentage which is better than any exchange place you can find in town. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is particularly good. When taxiing, the driver said that this was the best hotel in Ducheng in his mind. Outside the window is the Adriatic Sea. The supplies in the room are L'Occitane, which is also good. The breakfast was very rich and there was champagne to drink. The ham and cheese will be different, and the foreigners are still eating hahaha

We were greeted by Ana and Nikola who were very jolly, informative and helpful pointing out places to eat ,visit, the local shop and the better beach to visit. There were lots of steps yes but that is to be expected if you want the stunning views that we had. If you walk around the road way it doesn't take a lot longer and is much easier. Our apartment was fantastic very clean, comfy beds and toiletries were also supplied. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was coffee, tea and sugar as well as a couple of beers , juice and water left for us in the fridge. Ana asked on several occasions if there was anything she could possibly help with just to ask. We had a fantastic stay and recommend highly.

Getting to the apartments by car is a bit tricky, but our host helped direct us to park with street parking. Dubrovnik roads aren't the easiest roads, so once parked we didn't touch our car again. Check in was smooth through arranging through a website, however initially it was difficult to hear back from the owner as phone calls were not picked up and messages through Expedia were not answered. Once arrived, it was easy however - the owner lived in the property below and she handed over the keys and did a quick run through of the apartment. The interiors are as pictured, two bedrooms and a very spacious living room and a self equipped kitchen (seemed to be equipped for three people though, we were lacking s between the four of us). Beds were very comfortable, with great mattresses and multiple firm pillows. There were additional blankets if needed. Air conditioning worked well. We had a balcony with an amazing view of Dubrovnik and the walls, and would have been amazing if we didn't have rainy weather the whole time. Bathroom was clean with decent water pressure and responsive hot water. However the shower is in a tub, and does have the tendency to splash out on the floor as there was no curtain. Washing machine had some problems and did not work properly - the wash cycle kept going on for hours and has to be manually set to spin. It's a short distance to the Walls at Ploce Gate, however due to the uphill location it meant walking up and down 300 odd number of steps to get back and forth from the town and the apartment. Not for anyone with mobility issues! A Grab could cost between 30-50 kunas from the town, depending on which pick up area. Great for bigger groups with no mobility issues, a very comfortable apartment with a great view.

Great. This location is Dream house. If you can get a room, please take it. I will never regret it. The scenery in front of you cannot be bought with money. The value is several times the price. The Adriatic Sea is right in front of you. The old town is also in front of you. It's a distance to take a slow walk, to the old town. There is also a kitchen, the living room is large, the calm sofa, the bed is large, the shower room is large, and the front door is a huge garden. If you look at it properly, there is a turtle. I wonder if it's a staircase, a little, it may be hard for people who are not physically fit like me, but it's a distance that you can climb slowly. I'm going to get drunk with that scenery. I'm drunk even if I don't have delicious wine. Of course, having a delicious wine makes me feel even better. I am one of them. Please take this location when you go to Croatia and Dubrovnik.

Can’t say enough about this apartment and lovely Marija who was our host. The apartment is spacious, modern, immaculate and the VIEW- wow- right above Ploce Gate and overlooking the harbor and the City Walls. It is perfectly located for easy access into the Old City. Marija met us upon our arrival and brought juice and beer to get us started, which was lovely! She pointed out the local bakery, market, and even arranged for our transport to the airport to pick up our car and arranged for our parking which is a challenge!Lots of eateries very nearby, pizza, coffee, a Konoba and if you’re up for a splurge- Ezza Restaurant, TripAdvisor’s most highly rated is in the same building just below the apartment. We highly recommend this property and Marija!!
