Hotels with Swimming Pools in Douglas County

We have stayed here several times and usually arrange our trip through this area in order to stay here. It has consistently lived up to our expectations from our previous stays. I believe it is about 12 years old but has been maintained in like new condition. The entire property is well kept and our room was very clean. The breakfast in the morning is well above average for a Best Western. They still provide a full cooked to order breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will continue to stay here when on our way through the area!

Honestly when we first pulled in to this hotel I was worried because of the location but it turned out to be very clean, and the young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. These days that can be hard to come by so I always appreciate nice employees who care. This hotel does have outside entry into the rooms (motel style) and unfortunately there was quite a bit of traffic by our door throughout the night. I’m a light sleeper so I was awoken several times. Now I understand why there were free earplugs at the front desk. Of course, this noise can happen at even the best of hotels so I can’t hold it against this hotel. Room was very clean and one of the towels was even folded into a swan! Overall a good spot to stay overnight on your next road trip.

We rented three rooms for three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday. Because we have family in the area, we have had many Roseburg stays in many hotels and this was among the best. Clean, spacious, updated rooms. Phenomenal beds. Great water pressure in the shower!!(We're from California). The river view was lovely and the backdoor actually opened to a small balcony...fresh air option is always appreciated. Room entry was from an outdoor hallway, which I thought would be noisy, but wasn't, despite the hotel being quite full. Reasonable rates for dogs & a decent, hot breakfast. What's not to love? We will be back.

While there are amenities here, TV, Closet, Ironing board, Bathroom etc the AC unit is a bit dated and won't go below 60 as well as not having a functioning Always Blow fan option which coupled with a lack of a Ceiling Fan makes for a room that feels, stagnant. I am writing this ”Post Masking Restrictions” however between the lobby, and the Breakfast nook there are a lot of signs for wearing them. No one in the morning was wearing one sitting around, talking almost elbow to elbow. I am going in for a surgery soon and can't afford to catch anything at all. This wouldn't be as heinous to me IF it wasn't for the fact you have to wait for your breakfast to be made while sitting there. So I personally, will just go to Sharis so I am not elbow to elbow with people coughing, and sneezing from who knows were in Oregon. I guess +1 if you like a fresh cooked breakfast, -2 for the fact that you're crowded into a corner for it. Summary, good attendants, passable room, wi fi needs refreshing now and then. Will not be recommending in the future unless necessary but wasn't an awful experience.

I live on the coast, I had to come to roseburg, because my son was transferred here by ambulance. Due to Covid I wasn’t allowed to go into the hospital to sit with my son, I decided to stay in a motel that was close to the hospital I went online and booked my reservation at your super 8 motel in roseburg Oregon Upon check in I asked the woman at the front desk if there was any discount for people staying because of family in the hospital, I mentioned my son was in the hospital, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. A simple no would of been just fine, but the lady at the front desk said” there’s lots of moms with sons in the hospital, no we don’t give discounts” I found this to be not only insensitive but incredibly rude, like I said a simple “no” would of been fine. Had I not been already exhausted and emotionally drained, I would of demanded my money back and go across the street to motel 6. Your motel is clean, the rooms are spacious and nice, but because of her comments I will never stay there again. I didn’t catch her name but I checked in in January 18th around 3:40 pm.

We have stayed here in the past and had a much better experience. This year the room rates had increased dramatically. Unfortunately, the experience decreased dramatically. The office was under construction which led to some initial confusion as to where to check in. It wasn’t well posted. The check-in process was quick, but with no mention of our Best Western Rewards status. Other BW’s offer us bottled water at check-in. The tub wouldn’t hold water. The air conditioner was marginal so the room temperature was difficult to regulate. The bath fan was extremely noisy, I couldn’t stand to have it on. The toilet seat was also loose. The stairs need to have yellow stripes on the bottom treads of each landing, this was missing. This is definitely a safety issue. In light of what you get for the now inflated room rates, we will be looking at other options in the future.

The staff is also gentle and very beautiful, but this price is really cheap and satisfying! I would like to use it if I have the next opportunity.

The interior of the rooms have been remodeled which is a plus; however, the mattress was hard and there was/is no privacy curtain so if you want to let light into the room, you are exposed to the peeping eyes of passerbys and housekeepers. In the morning, as I was getting dressed and packing, the housekeeper even pushed her face into the window to peek in to see if I had checked out! I had the ”Do Not Disturb” sign on the door still and just had the curtains open to let light in. Also, if you are on the bottom level, your view is of cars in the parking lot and the tops of trees beyond. You cannot see the park or the river as they dip down below ground level so if you want to view the river, you have to get a room on an upper floor. I did enjoy walking across the parking lot to the little park area, though, and viewing the river from there. The front desk clerk was friendly and that is always a plus, and the room itself was clean. Pros and cons.

A++. We don't usually spend this much on a single night, last minute stay, but all of the previous reviews talked about how clean the rooms are since it's a new building and that was enough for me. But after staying, we definitely felt like it was worth the ”splurge.” All staff was friendly, from the front desk to the custodial staff just passing in the halls. A lot of complimentary bonuses which was nice since we were unprepared for our stay. Great breakfast variety and quality, and it was actually staffed with multiple people. Easy access from the interstate and to many restaurants and grocery stores. Honestly felt like some of our 5 star hotel stays.
