Hotels near Costa Fanar Masjid, Doha

We (4 adults and 1 teen) have just returned from a wonderful stay at Al Mirqab hotel. Pre Arrival Prior to booking I made an email enquiry about the availability of an extra bed. This was answered very quickly and put my mind at rest about the size of the rooms and ability to accommodate a third person. This was also reconfirmed directly by the hotel less than 30 minutes after making the booking via Expedia. And then, the day before our arrival I received a courtesy telephone call (Doha to UK) to check whether we had any special requests or transportation needs and to say how much the team were looking forward to our arrival. I have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and never have I been called ahead of time to be welcomed. A really personal touch. Arrival Tip: If taking a taxi from the airport be sure to state clearly Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli and in particular Arumail Boutique hotel on Al Souq Street. Unfortunately, we were taken to the completely wrong hotel which also had the name Souq Waqif in the title! When we did arrive at the correct hotel the welcome was warm and our earlier stress was quickly forgotten. We were checked in at Arumail hotel with the offer of coffee and dates whilst we were waiting. (Thank you to Mr Mouhaib for the coffee and introducing us to sweet dates) Our booking was split between Arumail and Mirqab hotels but Mr Abdullah was super helpful and offered our couple in the group an upgrade at a discounted price so that we could all stay together in Al Mirqab. It was an offer too good to refuse! Once we had completed the formalities we and our luggage were whisked by buggy over to Al Mirqab. Hotel Location Excellent! All of the hotels are dotted around the souq, but we liked Al Mirqab because it was right next door to the Metro station. If you want to be close to the Corniche choose Al Jomrok. Al Jasra is slightly on the edge but no more than a 2 minute walk from the main area. Rooms Our rooms were spacious and very well appointed. Even with the additional bed in one of the rooms we still had plenty of room. The complimentary water and tea and coffee was replenished every day and the mini fridge was perfect for cooling the water overnight ready to take out with us the next day. Our room was spotlessly clean and made up every day. This was done without any disturbance or inconvenience to us. We never saw the housekeeping staff but always returned to a freshly made up room. If I had one tiny little ****** it would be about the lack of plugs; one by each bedside table would have been super helpful. That said, on the day we were leaving I found one in the wardrobe (near the safe), one ‘hiding’ behind the luggage stand and one ‘hiding’ beneath the curtains. My fault for not looking properly, lol! Wi fi was excellent. What we loved about the wi fi was that it worked in all of the hotels and we only ever had to log in once. Food Our stay included breakfast which for the first few days o

The hotel is centrally located to tourist spots and the metro gold line. All of the staff were so helpful, accommodating and ready to help with a friendly smile. We felt very welcomed as soon as we checked-in and were offered a welcome coffee at the front desk. Staff members like Basit and Tara were always there to make our stay a pleasant experience. The hotel is right across the street from the Souq Waqif and it is accessible from an underground walkway in front of the hotel courtyard. The same walkway is connected to the metro gold line. The metro is very convenient as it is connected to many tourist spots throughout Doha. The front desk is operated all day and night, so it was very helpful as we had an early flight out of Doha. The check-out process was quick and efficient, and the staff helped us with transportation and luggage to the airport.

The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. Everyone was amazing and made our stay awesome. The location was close to the Souq and metro making it easy to get around. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Doha.

Service with a smile. When staying long term in a hotel, the fact that everyone takes the time to learn who you are is so refreshing. From reception, to gym, to pool, to restaurant and bars, there are many to say thank you ‘Sushmita’ in O’Glacee and ‘Emanuel’ the bagagiste are but two of the staff who make it a pleasure to stay here. It’s a great location, within walking distance of the metro and Souq waqif. Clean & modern with a delightfully familiar charm, it doesn’t feel like a chain hotel, but a boutique home away from home in Doha.

It is a luxury hotel with a high-end brand! The room is modern and comfortable. The bathroom is large and well-equipped. The lighting is adjustable and all kinds of equipment are available. The bedding is high-end and comfortable, and each of the twin beds is a queen bed. The hotel is located within easy reach of the ancient and modern bazaar, and within walking distance to the beach. There are high-end hotels such as Oriental Culture nearby. The area is a reflection of Doha's modernization.

Not bad, cost-effective, with a balcony, the balcony looks out to the swimming pool, the view is also very wide, the price is also cheap, the front desk service is very good! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

An amazing welcome both by the doorman and the ladies at reception. I arrived at 10am and check-in wasn't until 2pm but the lovely lady checked me in within 30 minutes. All staff were very friendly and polite. The room was inexpensively priced. I chose a twin single room on the first floor and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Souq Waqif and close to a few take away food shops and some mini markets. I was a solo female traveller and felt safe and respected at all times by the hotel staff as well as the shop owners in the area. I walked from Souq Waqif to the Hotel without a second thought. What a gorgeous hotel! My stay here was absolutely wonderful. If I could rate my experience here more than 5 stars I would - it was exceptional. A huge thank you to Gajendra . Your care and kindness made my stay a truly special one. I look forward to visiting again.

The location is relatively good. It's in the city center. It's very convenient to go anywhere. It's very close to Souq Waqif. It's also quick to take a taxi to the airport. The price is not expensive. The room is relatively large. We booked it temporarily for a break. The price/performance ratio is okay. The smell of smoke in the room I was in was exaggerated, because it was just a temporary break for half a day. Forget it, the cleaning staff might be there in the afternoon. We were in there, but they opened the wrong door. After opening it, they found that we were there and ran away. I asked the front desk and explained that it was the cleaning staff, so it was okay. However, this was a big work mistake. There was a construction site outside the window and there was no scenery.
