At Kodai I wanted to have sometime spent in the nature’s lap. This has been a long standing wish and finally when I decided to visit Kodai, I started looking around on Google maps and try to pinpoint a place that is serene and surrounded by Hills and Mountains. And then I happen to come across the jacks resort to be honest I was not very sure about this place. This was one of the new ones that has come up and was quite a distance from the main city. However, I decided to rule my dice and took my chance while I was into minds. I started to have doubts on my decision because no one at Kodai seems to recollect this resort. However, I hired the and then travel towards this resort, which is about 19 km downhill from Kodai city, midway point between Kodai city and planes. ***, was I blown away when I reached the spot. it truly justifies the meaning of in the nature slap. The resort is situated on the foot of a valley surrounded on all sides by rolling hills. The cottages are huge and greatly space between each other. Each cottage has a great open surrounding starting with a big veranda which leads into a huge living room and that is followed by a big big bedroom. The bedroom has a small balcony at the back there is a bathroom mat to the bedroom, each single room opens to the mountainous view. Heck, even the bathroom has a window which gives a fabulous view of the mountains. The entire unit is aesthetically pleasing and the setting is superb. They have a small hut outside with an arrangement for bonfire. But please note the bonfire is extra charged if you intend to use it. There is in house restaurant and room service is pretty decent. The breakfast is buffet type and the items are tasty and good. The best part is that the staff is just excellent and attentive. Now nothing is ever free without a downside. So let’s talk a bit about it. This is far off from the main kodai road and way inside the hills. So you land up there then there is nothing else to do except yo enjoy the serenity. So that can become a bit dull. There are almost nothing around for a good 5 km and to traverse the 5km it takes good half hour or more. So be prepared for it. And I think it’s just a tad bit expensive on the tariff for the location they are in. But on the whole it’s a good place to crash. Further it’s pet friendly and the pets have so much space to explore. So next time you just want to disappear wilderness, this is a good place to go.
