Entire staff is amazing the hotel is very safe very quiet family oriented if I ever needed a mini vacation this was it Days Inn Northlake Parkway Tucker,Ga

I stay in a lot of hotels…mostly Marriott. This hotel does not meet the Marriott standard. We checked in late from flying all day and almost left and found somewhere else, but decided to stay because we were so tired. I asked the receptionist to give us a quiet room, he kept saying he would and it would be a high floor. The room was on floor 5 (not high), right in front of elevators. They had a family reunion and a conference going on and at 11 pm it was so loud! The room never got cool, and the bed was awful! Like I said before, I mostly stay in Marriott’s and typically love the mattress’s but this was not Marriotts normal mattress. It also looked like it had been updated but whoever did this remodel did shotty work.

The website totally misrepresents the hotel. My room showed many signs of serious aging and neglect and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The room was clean, but not at all inviting. The room had one small bottle of shampoo that was already half empty - clearly had not been restocked since the last guest. It was not even enough to wash my hair. I could also hear EVERY WORD from the occupants in the room next to mine. I could smell their food. It was impossible to sleep or work. I will not return and advise others to reconsider. This Inn has fallen on hard times for sure.

Doubletree and Hilton comes through again!!! I work at a local Atlanta hospital overnight and have come in for a room last minute and in a pinch. Hilton has come through on both occasions with friendly and welcoming service. A trusted brand that makes me proud to be a Diamond Honors member.

Our room was clean and comfortable. I reserved a non-smoking room, however, I still smelled cigarette smoke from in my room. A non-smoking room should not be within smelling distance of a smoking room. And when there are designated rooms, that doesn't mean I should smell smoke in the stairwell either. We tried to take the stairs b/c the elevator was SLOW, but couldn't even get up one flight due to the smell of cigarette smoke. So we waited on the SLOW elevator. Later, saw cigarette ashes and butts down the hallway to the staircase, and saw additional cigarette butts in the stairwell, then realizing the smell was too strong to enter again. I mentioned this to the person at the front desk and she advised she would report it. When we finally checked out, those same butts and ashes were there and we couldn't enter the stairwell for a third time. When we got off the elevator, the smoking ”area” outside had people smoking but they had the door propped open, so that smoke was entering the building. I once again told the front desk, and I was just told, ”Yeah that door is broke, and the cards don't work for that door.” Not very hospitable, and didn't offer anything for me. If you can't stand to be around cigarette smoke, don't stay here. I guess I will always find a complete smoke-free hotel from here on out.

We were supposed to stay for a week, but checked out after the first night. Upon arrival at 5p (check in starts at 4p), we found a lobby full of waiting guests and were told that rooms were not ready yet. 2 hours later, we were finally checked in - at 7pm! The lobby still had at least 4 more families still waiting. The staff offered a measly ”sorry for the wait” but that was about it. No one was offered water or anything to drink, nothing to eat, etc while we waited for hours. In fact, one of the staff began complaining to her co-worker that she was going to quit the evening shift because she's tired of the guests being impatient and not understanding. Like WE were the problem. Hilton members who had used the app to check in were no exception. Still had to wait like everyone else. And nothing offered as compensation. When we finally did get to our room, it was pretty bad. The hotel is old and outdated, with stained carpet throughout the hallways, chipped furniture, dirty A/C units and gross bathrooms. Our room had a very strong, pungent smell of pinesol, lysol, and mold/mildew. It was so strong that both of us in the room got headaches after about an hour. Mine turned into a migraine. By morning, I was also stuffy and congested, mist likely from the mold they are obviously trying to mask with this disinfectant smell. Because we got into our room so late and many hotels in the area were unavailable, we stayed this first night but I had already booked another hotel for the rest of the week and we left by 7am. I went to the front desk to check out but no one was there & we had somewhere to be in the morning so I couldn't wait around. I decided I'd check out on the app and we left. The app wouldn't allow the check out since we were leaving 6 days early, so I tried calling the front desk. It went to voicemail so I left a message with my name, room number and the reasons we were checking out. I called 2 additional times that morning, both went to voicemail. After not hearing from anyone, I began dealing with Hilton customer service. It took Hilton 2 additional DAYS to reach someone and after leaving on Sunday, I finally received a receipt on Tuesday evening showing I had checked out 2 days prior. Still never heard from a live person from the hotel. This was an awful experience. We were there for 12 hours and were miserable every second of it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

What a remarkable experience while staying at this hotel. From its leadership staff to housekeeping, from rooms to the exercise facility - all are very clean, very comfortable, and are very accommodating.   They continue to go over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a short vacation, business travel or plan to utilize the extended-stay accommodations. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The convenience and the local amenities in the area are the best kept secret and the Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing too far out into the City of Atlanta. In particular, one MVP, the Operations Manager named (Gee).   Gee’s leadership and oversight is felt throughout the hotel and property; as she goes over and beyond to ensure that Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place customers and tenants have exceptional experiences. All service-centric businesses (hotels) have different touch-points (operations, check-in, front-desk, housekeeping, memberships, parking, etc.) throughout their organization. At each touch-point customers can recognize her DNA which is very apparent.     Moreover, my family and I love both the character and the charm of this hotel - Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place which does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place has hit an “HOME RUN” within the Gwinnett County Community and with our family.
