Super nice hotel

A great little city and the Continental was right in the heart of it. 30 second walk to the beach

Nice hotel in a beautifully renovated historic house. Modern interior with a link to he past. Very good location and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious; varied breakfast buffet The hotel has no car park; you can park the car in one of the surrounding streets. Coast tram stop is nearby the hotel. Very good value for a 3 star hotel! Everything was great. Maybe one minor detail : the shower base is very slippery. A non-slip coating or handles on the wall would be very convenient

Nicely kept hotel, friendly staff and only 100 meters to the beach - and with many restaurants and bars to choose from.

Very clean and comfortable room, spacious shower room, everything you would need. Breakfast choice was extensive and excellent quality. A faultless stay. Was one street back from the seafront so it doesn't really have a sea view, but for me this was not a problem. Hotel doesn't have an evening restaurant but there were several nearby.

On our way to the Eurotunnel we stayed here for the night. Very comfortable room with great bed and good shower. Street side was a little noisy but there are room options at the back of the building. Good breakfast. Free Parking is a little walk away or payable in the nearby street.

Very small. Windows didn’t open and no air conditioning!

There is no aircon in the rooms. The windows provided no respite to the heat. ( it was only about 22 degrees outside) but felt like the central heating was turned on and was easily 40 degrees in the room. We noticed that keeping the bathroom door closed helped a little, we think there must be hot water pipes or underfloor heating that is not turned off. It made the evenings and returning to the rooms during the day extremely uncomfortable. Our youngest was physically sick on our last night and we had to leave a note for the cleaners!

Although we were told the hotel was far from fully booked, we were awakened by non stop slamming doors and running kids in the corridor, as from 7am. Did the hotel put the few guest they had all on the same corridor maybe? Also on the doors there is some kind of alarm that goes of before you close the door which is also very irritating when you try to sleep. Of course, all of this would not be a problem if the rooms were sound proof… but they are not. I gave this feedback also to the receptionist and she said ‘ok’.
