Villa Dolunay Apart Hotel

Went to these apartments in September this year they were nothing special but kept clean and tidy nice pool area. But on the down side ask to keep room as late flight and the manager was very arrogant man and he didn't really talk to anyone. Plus door trim was loose which my wife and myself cut our foot on to which they pull it up and left it like that for two weeks I've placed a picture of the cut on my wife's foot thanks to the door trim.

Arrived late on the 28 /6/2023. Traveled as a family of 5 was shown to our rooms we had one attic room in one block and a ground floor room in another block but we couldn't have the room in the same block rooms are very dated but lovely and clean .the pool area is kept really clean .The hotel is in a lovely area walking distance to everthing .we just don't think that the hotel was for us as a family it was full with older couples with no children .our children felt uncomfortable as they were afraid to make a noise or splash someone at the pool it was so quite no music playing so when my daughters and grandson shouted everyone would look .And at the bar my husband would order his drinks and pay later but be every careful and check your bills as we were charged 780 Turkish lira thats 20.00 pounds for a glass of vodka when I asked I was told it was because it was imperial blue vodka. But this happened a good few time before I asked to see the bill .its a lovely little hotel if you are of an older age .

This is our first holiday after Covid and was really excited, I have never been to turkey and heard great things from many people. We booked for ten days which was long enough in Dalyan and the people of Dalyan and what it has there is lovely. The holiday however was spoilt by the accommodation we booked into. The room was really basic the beds weren’t comfy the linen was worn. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned because they had lost the master key. The owner was grumpy. The pool was nice but only seen it been cleaned once. This resort isn’t suitable for a family with more than four people however only one room accommodates four people. There appeared to be some favouritism in the hotel when they weren’t happy they were given a new room but people who didn’t go to the resort often had to put up with it. The top floor rooms only had one bed when it said it sleeps two so you had to ask for another bed. We had to approach the owner never asked if we were okay, they weren’t bothered about you if you didn’t go often. There was only one air con in the room so the other person in the other room were very hot. The room was superior because it had a microwave and tv!! Don’t book here if you want a relaxing holiday.

We are currently stopping at the Dolunay Apartments in Dalyan, Gokhan, Hassan and the team are as welcoming as ever and can’t do enough to help.The pool looks fantastic and is brand new this season. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and very clean as always. We have been here many times and will continue to come back to our home away from home. Thank you Gokhan and team for making our holiday special as always.

Just had a fantastic couple of weeks in dolunay apartments room was very clean with all the basic requirements for self catering but we find the prices in dalyan make it easier to have meals out gok and his staff (family ) were very friendly and helpful pool area and pool fantastic and very clean so happy that when we return we won’t have to meet any of the people who made negative remarks about this place maybe pay the extra and stay in a 5 starf resort and get the service you crave for but at 5 star prices ( suggest the holiday firms should take some new pictures as present photos don’t do it justice)

A lovely, good value place. Close to all amenities & a lovely stroll into town & to the river. A few reviews critiquing the rooms as ‘shabby’. The rooms were perfectly clean and when we did have an issue (a leaky shower head) it was fixed immediately with no fuss. The staff were very efficient & friendly. I’ve only given 4 stars as unfortunately our first week was slightly diminished by some very noisy guests which was completely out of the establishments control.

We stayed for two weeks. The apartments are perfectly adequate. All of The staff and the Owners are so friendly. The pool and restaurant area is really clean and tidy. The food is really lovely and ideal at breakfast and lunch. Thank you all we had a great time.

The place is just fantastic. Gokan, his bother, nephew Artun and Havers are amazing hosts and very accommodating. Ignore any negative reviews I very much recommend Villa Dolunay for families as well as couples. Worth noting It is a cosy place so sitting around the pool everyone knows everybody’s business. The bar does shut at 12 as the owners do have respect for their guests. It opened later on one night on our visit but following this one night the owners decided 12 was late enough. Some comments from narrow minded individuals should be ignored as holidays should be enjoyed by all. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere with other guests was friendly and enjoyable. If not including breakfast in the package the hotel does serve breakfasts and the lunch menu is pretty good as well with salads, kebabs, omelettes and chicken burgers to die for. Rooms are adequate and kept clean. Ground floor rooms enjoy a nice balcony, which is much more convenient with access to the pool area. Location is fine. Approx 25 minutes from the airport. The apartments are a 10 minute (max) walk from the centre but far away enough not to hear any noise. Supermarket 5 minute walk with everything you need. Larger one nearer the centre 10 minutes away. We will be returning in 2024. Can’t wait.

Booked two bedroom superior apartments and was told by the travel agent that the rooms would be close together. We are a family of 5 with three children under the age of 18. When we arrived late Sunday evening we were booked into one room in block C second floor and block A on the third floor which was a studio apartment, not sure how this was meant to work as we were self-catering. Approached the manager the following day who was superficially helpful in the company of other residents he suggested he would consider options such as moving rooms. But on a one to one stated if we wanted to stay together why didn't we book a villa. Found the rooms very basic ,linen was torn and worn, towels worn, shower stopped working halfway through the holiday, Handle on the front door dropped off and rooms clearly weren't designed for self-catering. As a family we had to split up and this spoilt our family holiday. Week into the holiday a party of 18 arrived with loud music shouting and putting towels put on the lounges at 3 in the morning. Despite being told this was a wite family resort. Other familys complained and one family had to shout to ask them to be quiet when we approached the manager he advised the staff to close the bar at 12 but this did not happen and was still being served at 3 in the morning. Very poor experience, would not recommend this venue for a family holiday. We regretted booking as Dalyan and the people were lovely.
